"The candles..."

You mumble as the squirrel that climbed on your shoulder jumped down and ran away, leaving you alone in the now darken place.

"I can't see anything, It's too dark."

She said, indifferent despite the situation you're in.

"The old guy just said a while ago that this place was like a maze."

You state while walking around, hands on the wall for support.

"The others must've noticed my disappearance by now, but who knows how long will it take for them to find me here since this seems like a secret passage."

You stop in your tracks, thinking of something.

"Should I punch a hole in this wall?"

You deadpan then shake your head, imagining what would happen.

"Bad idea. I'll probably just end up getting myself buried alive and put the others in danger as well. And who knows where this would lead me to when I do manage to create a hole."

You let out a deep sigh, annoyed at the situation you got yourself into and soon felt someone's presence nearby, seeing them with a light.

"Are you lost?"

An old voice ask, stopping in front of you.

"Were you separated from your friends?"

He adds to his question which you replied with nodding your head.

"Yes. Do you live here?"

The old man nods his head with a smile and reaches his hand out.

"Give me your hand. I'll take you to them."

Hearing those words made you happy and hold his hand, but of course, you were cautious of this man.

"Thank you."

You say, voice soft with a smile which made him nod his head.

'If he does attempt something, I'll just kill him.'

"Did you not hear this place is a maze?"

"I'm sorry. There's someone I--no. Me and my friends must find."

"The Blue Dragon?"

That response made you even more cautious but you masked it with a smile and nod your head.

"He is not here."

You let out a hum, tired of hearing the same words again but the smile on your face did not disappear.

"Does someone live in the room at the end of the passage?"

"No one lives there."

He answered to your question, voice void of emotion while you still remained calm.

"No one."

He repeated, and took a step down the stairs.

'Why are we going down? It's darker there.'

You thought, face grimacing as he leads you.

"I'm sure my friends aren't down there, Mister."

You said, smiling innocently with a small laugh.

"Why are going deeper? What's down there?"

You push the questions, a cold smile now on your face.
