[ Molly POV ]
•
We went to dinner. It was neither good nor bad.
Jimin sat furthest away from me, avoiding any kind of contact.
I couldn't help but stare at him, and I didn't care if I made it obvious. I just wanted to enjoy his beautiful features. I noticed the way his cheeks lost some of its fluffiness and natural blush, his jaw had become sharper, and the dark circles under his eyes had become a bit darker.
Has he been eating well?
Has he been working himself too hard?
What is going on with you, Jimin?
"Do you want some more?" Jungkook spoke to me, breaking me out of daze. He held a bottle of soju in his hand, ready to pour me another cup.
"Uh," I eyed the bottle in his hand, questioning whether I really needed a second shot. My eyes traveled past the bottle, meeting Jimin's eyes already on me. His stares were like daggers, piercing through me with such anger and hate. The eyes that once softened when seeing me were now cold. He slowly looked away, not bothering to spare me a glance. "Yes, please."
I needed it.
-
Remember when I said dinner was neither good nor bad?
Well, I lied.
After that second shot, my lips only thirst for more. Jin's jokes became funnier, Hoseok became louder, and Jimin- well, he stayed quiet. Eventually, I'd finished the bottle, and when it became difficult to tell whether I was in a bar or a fun house, I realized I was drunk. The room spun and suddenly I was seeing three Namjoons.
[ Narrator POV ]
Molly cleared her throat as she stood from the chair, just to stumble back onto the chair.
"Woah." Jungkook places his hands on her waist, steadying her before she fell backwards. "You're drunk." He sighed.
Like a child, she shook her head furiously, lips in a pout. "No." She mumbled under her breath.
Noticing she was stable in her seat, Jungkook let go, returning his attention to Jin who sat in front of him.
Thinking no one was paying attention to her, she managed to fight through the drunkenness and slip out of her chair, wobbling to the restroom.
Jimin- who had been watching Molly swallow drink after drink- stood from his chair, following Molly at a safe distance.
Jimin knew Molly was not the type to let herself get drunk while out in public. Thus, he knew something was wrong.
Although he knew she was not a careless drunk, he still wanted to make sure she was okay. He stood outside the women's restroom, ear pressed against the door to make sure she wasn't passed out.
Jimin didn't hear when she unlocked the door, so when she opened the door, he stumbled into her, knocking her to the ground.
"Are you okay?" He asked, immediately falling to his knees to attend to her.
Thinking she'd start crying, she startled him when she started giggling.
"What?" He asked, worry filling his face as he scanned her body for any wounds.
He let out a sigh of relief when he saw no wounds, but his breath was caught in his throat when his eyes trailed up her bare legs. His eyes traveled up the silky skin of her legs, noticing her shirt hitching higher up her thigh. Jimin closed his eyes, not wanting to imagine what could have happened to her if he was not the one who would have found her. She could have been taken advantage of.
He shook the horrid thoughts out his mind, sighing in relieve as if an elephant had been lifted from his chest.
He pulled the material of her skirt down, his fingers grazing her skin. He shivered at her touch, eyes lingering on her skin.
"Jimin-ah." She called softly, cupping her hands on his cheeks to meet his eyes.
Jimin froze under her touch. His heart beat faster, his muscles became tense, and the heat crawled up his cheeks to paint them red.
He let her hold his face in her small hands, wanting to lean in and plant his lips on hers. Even if he wanted to, he was too frozen under her touch to do anything.
He wanted to cry, knowing that only she could make him feel that way. Her touch was like electricity, striking him till his was left frozen, yet gentle, like the flutter of a butterfly's wing. She was warm like the sun and smelled of a mixture of honey and shea butter.
"I miss you." She whispered, her tears glossing over her eyes. A single tear escaped her eye, Jimin quickly reached out to wipe her cheek.
"I love you!" His heart screamed, but he remained quiet.
-
Jimin returned to the table. Everyone was too focused on their conversations to notice that Molly and Jimin were missing. Everyone except Yoongi.
He saw the combination of reddened and glassy eyes when Jimin sat back at the table.
"Where's Molly?" He asked, knowing Jimin had been with her.
Jimin sniffled, swallowing back his tears before speaking. "Hyung, can you do me a favor?"
Yoongi nodded, knowing the favor was for Molly and not Jimin. Yoongi would do anything for her.
"Please, take Molly home."
