"Look," After almost knocking the wood door down from how hard he was pounding it with his fist, I opened the door, revealing a panting Jimin, his hair sticking to his forehead from the sweat. "I just want to say that I don't want things to be awkward between us."

"Okay," I nod, forcing a smile to my lips. "Don't worry."

The memory of me waking up on top of Jimin the morning after my birthday flooded my mind. I found him under me as we laid on the couch, his arms tightly wrapped around my waist. I got off him, picking up the wine bottles and cake box where there had once been a cake. After picking up a bit, I finally woke him up. He too, had no idea how we woke up in each other's arms. He left as soon as he woke up, and we haven't talked since.

I stepped out and he took a step back. I closed the door behind me, locking it before turning back to Jimin.

"So," he scratched the back of his neck, bitting his lip nervously. "are we good?"

"Yes." I smiled, playing with the keys in my hand. The air was silent as I stared at him awkwardly bitting his lip. What do you tell your ex when all he wants to be is friends, but you want it to be more? "Listen," His head shot up, his eyes beaming with anticipation. "I have to go, but maybe we can have breakfast tomorrow? I'll come over and make breakfast you you guys."

"Yeah," He nods, walking with me as we step off the porch. "I'll see ya."

"Get up!" I half whisper, poking the squishiness of Joy's cheek. She groaned, turning in Namjoon's arms.

"Joy!" I poke her again, hoping this time she would wake up. She groaned, this time angrily before opening her eyes.

"What?" She hisses, digging her head deeper into Namjoon's bicep.

"Let's make breakfast." I smile innocently.

She rolled her eyes before shutting them. "You do it." Before I could say another word, she turned, hugging the sleeping Namjoon beside her.

"You little-" I snicker, getting off my knees and leaving the room.

I quietly head downstairs, huffing sadly in defeat. I didn't want to make breakfast alone.

"Hey, huffle puff." A voice calls me out of my daze as I enter the kitchen. My head shoots up, meeting a smiley Jimin leaning against the counter. "What's with all the huffing?"

The pout on my lips disappears and is replaced with a smile. "What are you doing up early?"

He smiled, pushing the silver locks of his hair back. Fortunately- for me at least- his bed hair was persistent, lazily falling in front of his eyes. He looked so cute and squishy in his pj's and naturally flushed cheeks.

"I'm an earlier bird."

"Sure." I chuckle, grabbing his wrist. My touch sent him into a shock, and he froze as I guided him to a chair, but for his sake I acted like I didn't notice. "Sit." I command and he does so. I stand between his legs, sweeping his hair away from his eyes and clumping it into my hand. After gathering all of his hair, I tie it at the top of his head, making him look like an apple.

"Now," I smile, stepping away from him. "Let's make some breakfast."

You didn't have to ask me how I was feeling to know.

All you had to do was look at the smile on my face.

Having Jimin back into my life was like the night sky welcoming the sun. He filled my life with his warmth and joy. He was the light of my life. I didn't care if he was mine or not. I just needed his presence like the Earth needs the sun.
