It scared me how cruel people were without actually trying.

Journalists had a busy week after the release of my new song. Although the attention was great, the comments were not.

People were glad I'd been broken hearted, saying that it was the reason why I'd written such a great song. Others were angry, saying I was blaming Jimin for the break up.

Was I? Does that make me the bad guy?

They also couldn't stop raving about my 'new look'. While some called it 'elegant and mature', others called it 'exposing and slutty'.

There was no end. My mother even called me, bombarding me with questions about it. Although she tried to be supportive, I could hear the anger in her voice. My sister called and told me how mad mother was. Apparently they both agreed my look was inappropriate and that I had changed.

I can't please anyone, can I?

"Stop thinking so much." Hoseokie plopped himself next to me on the couch, wrapping his arm around my shoulder to pull me into his chest. "You'll grow grey hairs."

"Shut up." I laughed, punching his chest before laying my hand over the targeted area.

"Did I do the wrong thing?" I whisper, playing with the material of his expensive shirt. "Am I really the bad guy?"

His hand reached for my face, pinching my chin between his index finger and thumb, slowly lifting my head up to meet his eyes.

"Hun," His curly fringe hangs above his eyes as he looks down at me with his soft eyes. "you've done nothing wrong. You can't please everyone."

"But, people keep saying-"

"It doesn't matter." The corners of his lips curl upward and he leans in, my eyes naturally closing as he kisses my forehead.

"What did I do to deserve a best friend like you?" I ask him, breathing in his vanilla scent as I rest on his chest. His chest vibrates under me as he lets out a low chuckle.

"Come on." He holds my hand, pulling me as he gets off the couch. "Let's get your mind off things."
