I fished the walkie-talkie out of my jeans pocket. Indigo stared at it and I heard Violin’s voice on the other side.

“Hey L’etoille, come to my office,” he said. Pause, then static.

“What was that?” Indigo raised an eyebrow.

“I don’t know,” I shrugged. Our laugh faded while I started to released my fire wings out of my back.

Violin’s office was very big, even for a Holy Warrior. There were candles on every corners and a carpet that sprawled all over the floor. There were also huge windows that emphasized the room. I spotted Violin staring at the window blankly. He knew that I was there, so instead of greeting him I sat on the couch formally with a leg on top of the other.

“So… May I call you Elle?” he started to speak. His voice changed since I saw him two years ago. It became more deep and husky.

“You already did, long time ago. You wouldn’t remember.”  I shifted my gaze to my reflection on a mug beside me. My eyes and hair didn’t change a bit. I had blonde hair and gold eyes. “You were trapped in a forest full of fire I perceive.”

“I can assure you that this appointment won’t be about me,” he replied. I could hear the fear in his tone. I chuckled quite forcefully. It crept through the room as it echoed. My smile faded quickly and turned into a sigh.

“Then what is it about?”

“It is hard for me to admit, but you’re in the top five of the Special Warrior, including your colleague, Indigo Wolfgang,” he applauded. “But before you go out, can I ask you about my past? You seem very acknowledge about it.”

I paused for a second. I could blurt out all of the past, but I didn’t want to ruin Edelweiss’s and Violin’s relationship either. I owed her. She had been so nice to me. It would be rude to stab her from the back. “I can’t.”

I quickly stormed out the room with watery eyes. I’m sorry.

Edelweiss came up to me in the lobby. She really stand up from others. She wore retro clothing and red-blood lipstick that smeared on her lips.

“Hey what happened?” she said with a soothing tone. I shook my head with tears running down my cheeks.

“Can I have the keys?”

“Yeah sure,” she landed the house key. I thanked her and ran. I felt like people glared down at me on the streets although they didn’t. It was my entire fault to left him in the forest, to let Edelweiss found him. The tears kept rushing down with full of guilt behind it.

I opened the main door of the house and found Indigo sitting on the couch. I jolted as he did too. The dim lights covered the tears from my cheeks to be seen by him.

“Did my beauty go that far?” he frowned

“What?” I exclaimed in disgust.

“Let me guess, you stalked me and desperate to have my autograph.”

“Oh in your dreams, Wolfgang. This is Edelweiss’ house,” I explained.

“And mine,” he added. “I’m Edelweiss’ brother.”
