Violin’s POV

I overheard the conversation between Elle and Indigo. It was actually kind of awkward to hear them both smooching, but what else could I do? I couldn’t sleep. I stayed awake until it was 4:30 am. Since I got nothing to do besides planning the activities for tomorrow, I decided to sneak outside for a moment; just to have fresh air. When I opened the door, I saw a dark figure wrapped around the fog.

“Hello Mortal,” said the figure. It was Yvonne. She was the only one who called me ‘Mortal’ or ‘Violin the Mortal’.

“What are you doing here?” I squinted.

“In case you forgot, this is my house. Let me clear that, Lady Yvonne’s house,” she bolded those words.

“In case you forgot, you borrowed it to us,” I mimicked. She smirked and sat on the stairway. She was about to argue to the phrase, but she remembered something. Probably something that made her came.

“I’m tired, so listen.”

“You teleported.”

“It’s still tiring,” she sighed. “You argue one time again, you won’t be a Holy Warrior anymore, just a beggar on the streets.”

The realization of her place popped into my mind and decided to apologize.

“I came here because of the diary. I knew you eavesdropped,” she paused. “I regret to trust him.”

The wind blew harder as she tucked her tangled hair back. Her hair was long until it nearly swept the floor every time she walked. I learnt that she could only see a glimpse of the future, but not all of them. That was why she didn’t see that coming.

“Now he had to carry the consequences. I wish I could tell you the full thing, but I can’t tell you anything about the future. If I do, my immortality will fade and I will be dead,” she explained. “That’s why you always think that I talk riddles.” I just totally forgot that she could read minds. “I would tell you a clue; I always did.”

It was useless either way. Heaven knows I wasn’t smart, and she also knew. Then why would she give me riddles when I didn’t even understand? She squinted as she heard what I was thinking. Her power started pisses me off.

“Beware, Violin the Mortal, someone had seek that diary of Ellis. When she read it, trouble will come. Because someone else seek for it like a Mortal seek for diamonds. That person seeks it in a greedy way. He or she is near, and that person is even slyer than a fox. That person supervised every move, and every word, for she or he is near. O Violin the Mortal, beware, beware.”

Before I could speak, she was already gone with the wind.

What did she mean by that person is near?

Was it Edelweiss? Lori? Or even Indigo himself?
