There were many disadvantages to live with a morning person which was Edelweiss. It wasn’t enough to woke up by the birds that crashed to the attic window. There always been a loud fight to woke me up in the first place. I heard a very loud knock on the door as Edelweiss shouted my name. I checked the clock that hung on the wall; it was still eight in the morning.
“The trainee challenge started at ten! How many times should I tell you?” I shouted back. Edelweiss kept knocking the door impatiently.
“It’s not about that! Open the door I’m serious!”
“God, Edelweiss.”
I brushed my hair with my bare hands and quickly slipped my naked feet to my slippers. I lazily opened the door and found Edelweiss almost knocked my face.
“Look, I’m so sorry Elle. It’s all my fault I know.”
“Well yes, for waking me up every damn time. But that’s forgiven.”
She shook her head. I frowned and started to be curious on the news.
“No, it’s not about that, Elle. Well, sorry for that but I’ve got things more than that to apologize for. Remember yesterday night? The Holy Warrior cops found the Dwarf’s body,” she panted.
I scratched my bed hair and started to think. I did kill that dwarf. But it was an accident. “Well I’m just doing my job,” I started to panic. I opened the bedroom’s door and invited Edelweiss to come in. The door shut noiselessly while she continued the private talk.
“Exactly. But Violin never mentioned you to kill that Dwarf. Plus, the Dwarf that you kill sadly isn’t a criminal. You caught the wrong guy. So you can’t pull out the ‘it’s-a-defense’ card.”
I insecurely sighed. I usually got my brains to work and face a problem with a lot of self-esteem. But this time, my brain just froze. I’m a murderer now; the words kept circling my mind.
“Have you told Indigo about this?” she nodded in return. I stopped to think while her fingers danced on her cell phone. She quickly stood up from my bed and I raised my eyebrows clueless.
“Quick, pack your stuffs. Violin told us to run away,” she informed as calm as possible. I obeyed her orders and scrambled around the room grabbing this and that. She ran through the stairs and shouted the same thing to Indigo.

It took me fifteen minutes to pack my stuffs into a backpack. I peeked through the attic window. There were Holy Warrior cops flapping their breath-taking wings towards the house. I didn’t dare to make eye contacts and rushed downstairs.
“Shh.” Indigo grabbed my hand and dragged me to the back door.
We found Violin, Edelweiss, and a good looking stranger standing beside her. She had a brunette wavy short hair with stripes of blonde. Her dim grey eyes smiled to me.
“I already ordered tickets to Germany for all of us. But tonight, we’re just going to stay at my house. No one will find us there, at least for a night,” Violin commanded. “We’re going to protect each other at all cost! Especially Elle.”
Before I could interrupt the last sentence, everyone else nodded in sync. I felt guilty to make people protect me at all cost. I seemed weak that way.

We arrived at Violin’s posh house. Glamorous furnitures were placed on every spot of the house. The girl with blonde stripes hair examined the house with beaming eyes. I could tell that she didn’t know what was going on. I sat in front of the fireplace; hoping that it could to calm my nerves.
“Am I going to get caught? We can’t hide forever.”
“Well, if it really takes forever, I don’t mind,” Indigo assured. I smiled and thanked him. That was really sweet of him. I could see Violin’s glare examining both of us like the girl did to his house. I eventually got relaxed and had time to stretched some muscle. Well, or so I thought.
A Holy Warrior cop smashed one of the huge windows of Violin. He ran towards me and I pointed my hands at him, ready to shoot his head off. But he suddenly stopped with a shocked expression. Blood started to splatter from his neck, causing him to choke some blood from his mouth and lay on the floor like a dead fish. Behind him there was a girl pulling off the knife that she stabbed on.
“Hey, I’m Lori Hearts,” introduced the girl with blonde stripes. “Cool jacket!”
What a way to greet someone.
