A/N: so, I was on deviantart scrolling through some godzilla art until I saw someone make a comment on something regarding the godzilla series currently and toho.

1. yeah, toho gave tristar crap for their interpretation of godzilla and how they did it. But at this point, Zilla has been placed as his own character and given more respect as time goes on in things such as comics.
2. Clearly not all the godzilla films have godzilla in that role and even if they do, it's not the direct main focus of those films.
3. the 2014 film is only the 19th grossing film in the franchise, it did't get far compared to the rest if anything.
4. there were far more people who actually enjoyed shin gojira compared to people who didn't. it was a political satire. And even if that maybe something that some people might not give a shit about, then here's the sick reality, the film isn't for everyone then. And lastly, that shoop da woop shit could be applied to almost every other godzilla.
5. there's a differences between an director who knows nothing about godzilla and one who's at least seen two of his films and knows some about him.

7. ents are sentient humanoid trees from a fucking fantasy while godzilla earth is evolved plant life with nuclear energy from a science fiction story and even then, we've had sentient plant beings before. So no, he's not.
8. The Servum are not godzilla earth's only spawn. That's the most obvious thing in the first film itself.

10. clearly not as people were still able to recognize both mechagodzilla and ghidroah when they first saw images of them released.
11. He never fought mechagodzilla. He fought ghidorah. Even then, that's never been the main point of this trilogy or even the franchise as a whole.
12. It's either have Godzilla, who's apart of the earth, or have the earth completely covered in nano and every bit of life on earth being assimilated as well. And as for the planet eater, it would have only be a redo of the mistakes that they've made before in the past.
13. The fucking amount of money that's maid in japan is far more than what we make here.
14. Don't jump to conclusions just because you've seen a few trailers and shit. The film could still deal with problems that hold it back. And before you say that there's a thing such as expectation, guess what, we had that for the anime trilogy and shin gojira.
15. Again, japan makes more money there than we do here. And, you also seem to that legendary is using 4 of toho's characters as well as music from their films. Toho will being getting credit for this film almost just as much as legendary is.
I'm really getting tired of people who do this. People who praise the monsterverse that it's going to be the best thing to ever happen to the godzilla series and that Legendary will replace TOHO. It's really some of the most annoying bullshit ever and honestly, it's making me starting to get a little annoyed with the monsterverse because you have people like this trying to compared films. Like people who tried to compare the 2014 film with shin gojira.
