And, there was some info on the mecha-ghidorah that was given.
First one here is one given on the battle between godzilla and the robotic ghidorah.

So it sort of lets us know the material that this robotic ghidorah is made of as well as the type of changes to it has to it's gravity beams.
But, what's more interesting is who are the ones controlling Mecha-Ghidorah.
They call themselves The Dark Mysterious Star Alliance.
It comprises of the X-Seijin (The Xiliens), the Mysterians, the Natalians, the Kilaaks, The M Space Hunter Nebula Aliens (The Roaches),The Black Hole Planet 3 Aliens (The Apes), and even The Messiah 13 aliens.

So with this comprisment of villains and considering one of them is indeed one of the Kilaaks (specifically the queen), then it's likely this mecha-ghidorah happens after the events of Destroy All Monsters (Which ghidorah was killed in).
