"Good morning! Time to start the day!" Jeremy said to himself.

Jeremy had been dreading the first day of school for quite some time, because it meant homework, fitting in, and Rich Goranski.

Rich had bullied Jeremy all last year. He'd pop up out of no where and make a joke that everyone would laugh at. It sucked. It was like he had something telling him what to do and say.

The only good thing about going to school was seeing the adorable theater geek Christine Canigula. She's in Jeremy's theater class and she has so much passion for theater. Although he's never had an actual conversation with her, he still looks forward to seeing her everyday.

"Morning Son!" Jeremy's father, Paul, yells as he kicks in the bathroom door.

"Can't you knock?" Jeremy screeched angrily.

"It's okay, just pretend we're in the army." He replied.

"Ugh, just- wait, are you wearing pants? It's the morning, you never wear pants this early...or ever."

"Indeed I am son, because I happen to have a girlfriend now, and I want to start taking better care of myself."

Jeremy froze, "A girlfriend...? Since when are you dating?"

"Since I met Heidi Hansen, she's super sweet and very pretty and I can't wait for you two to meet." Paul beamed.

"...do you love her?"

Paul smiled, "Yes, yes I do."

"Good."

"Umm yeah, she and her son may or may not be moving in with us on Friday."

"I'm sorry wHAT? MOVE IN?!" Jeremy shouted.

"Look Jeremy, I understand that this is going to be a bit difficult to process and I'm sorry that I hadn't said anything sooner and that I sprung this on you before school, but I really love her and I know that you will too."

"...This Friday? Dad th-that's in three days, I-"

HHHOOOOOOONNNNNNKKKKKKKKK!!! Jeremy was interrupted by a horn that he recognized as Michael's PT cruiser, which meant that Michael was here to pick up Jeremy to go to school.

"Shoot, that's Michael, uhh I have to go, but I want more details about this after school!" Jeremy stammered as his slung his backpack on and ran out the door.

Jeremy threw his bag in the backseat of Michael's car and scrambled into the front seat.

"MICHAEL YOU WON'T BELIEVE WHAT JUST HAPPENED!!" Jeremy screamed.

"Wow, a hello would be nice Jere." Michael said stone-faced.

Jeremy sighed, "Hello Michael..."

"Hi Jeremy, now tell me what happened." Michael smiled.

"My dad is dating someone."

"NO WAY! DUDE THAT ROCKS! Good for him," Michael exclaimed as he started up the car and began the drive to school.

"No that's not it, they've been dating long enough to the point where her and her son are MOVING IN WITH US THIS FRIDAY!"

"Wow, that's... that's a lot... have you met them before?" Michael asked.

"NO! I only just found out he was DATING LET ALONE HAVING SOMEONE MOVE IN WITH US!! UGH!!" He hid his face in his hands.

"Hey, listen, everything's gonna be fine, ya know if you really wanted I can come over before they move in so you're not alone."
