"Ok class listen up," Mr. Reyes stood on a table, "I will be going to the store as I have ran out of Hot Pockets so-"
Christine jumped out of her seat, "W-WHAT?!? WHO'S GONNA RUN REHEARSAL?!"
He pointed at her from his perch, "You can do it."
"Wait really?! Oh my gosh! To be trusted with such high levels of responsibility. It would be my honour!" She bowed.
"Then I declare you, Christine Canigula, teacher for the day."
She squealed doing a little dance while Mr. Reyes walked out for his Hot Pockets. She watched him go and right as the door closed she turned to the class with a serious glare. This was her time to shine!
"Alright listen up punks, let's run Scene 1 and as I'm going to be acting director, Brooke, you'll go on as my understudy. Got it? Okay. Places CHOP-CHOP," she ordered.
Jeremy stared at her in complete admiration, "Woah."
She turned to him excitedly, "I know right?! I've been waiting for this moment for so long, I'm gonna relish in it! C'MON PLACES! GET THERE!"
***after play rehearsal***
"Good job guys, this was a good rehearsal," Christine said as the entire cast groaned and collapsed to the ground in exhaustion. She grabbed her bags and walked out of the auditorium, "Parting is such sweet sorrow...Bye! See you guys tomorrow!"
Rich sat up, "Guys I'm dead, that killed me...." The room silently agreed.
Jeremy spoke up, "In her defense, we got more done than we would've with Mr. Reyes in charge."
There was a best of silence, "He's right," Brooke agreed.
Jeremy got up to grab his bag, but was interrupted by Rich sprinting towards for it and snatching it up, "not so fast, Tallass, have you thought about the...ya'know... the SQUIP?"
"...Yeah, yeah I have," He responded.
"And?"
"And my answers no, I've got enough going on right now I don't need anything else to worry abo-"
"That's just the thing though, dude it tells you what to do for anything you ask it! Like you got shit goin' on? It'll tell you what to do! IT DOES THAT FOR ANYTHING! ITS THE BEST!
Jeremy looked at him for a second, "As amazing as that sounds, I don't think I need a super computer to help with what's happening in my life right now... I can handle it." He grabbed his bag and started walking away.
"I thought you wanted to be cool."
Jeremy walked to the parking lot where Michael was eagerly waiting his boyf- best friend.
"Heyyy bitch, how was rehearsal?" Michael asked.
"Exhausting! Get this, Mr. Reyes full on left rehearsal to go buy more hot pockets, so he put Christine in charge! And let me tell you this I was super excited for her and to see her all jazzed about running the whole shabang! and how her eyes lit up when Mr. Reyes appointed her director! and the way she accepted it, oH mY GOSH MICHAEL SHE BOWED!!! BOWED!!! IT WAS ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!! I WAS QUAKING!!" He gushed about Christine for the rest of the drive home.
As much as Michael loved Jeremy, he could do without listening to him talk about how great Christine is. Yeah, it's great that he likes someone, but it's not necessarily the BEST feeling to have your crush talk about their crush TO YOU!
They stopped in the car and talked in Jeremy's driveway. Jeremy laughed, "So who are you crushing on? Do I know him?"
Welp, there it is. The one question Michael hated being asked. 'You. It's you. It's always been you.'
