Part 2

I led the way to the living room just around the corner, which was more of a sitting room for when you want to read and relax. It was spacious bigger than most and had a main colour of blue, the couches were blue with white accents or the other way around and a feature wall at one end was covered in blue items including an intricate sketch of a wolf.

I was seated on the main lounge chair that could fit 4 people with a twin on either side while Sylvia sat in a one seater with a kid on each knee. I took a shaky breath into my lungs and let it out slowly before looking at my mates for strength.

At their nods I turned to face my sister and tell the truth about my new life. “don’t freak out on me please” I begged of her “I know its a shock to see me with Ash and Avery, and I know you’re wondering why they have such safety rooms and it will all be explained but I think the best why is that we should just show you and ill explain from there.”

With that I looked at the boys and said “shift” they gave me a nervous look but did as I asked, it was safe to say Sylvie didn’t know what I meant by commanding the boys to shift but she would soon.

The beautiful sight of my mates shifting drew my attention away from my sister as I waited with anticipation to be able to burry my hands in their soft fur.

It only took a few seconds before my mates stood next to me in wolf form. In a second my hands were buried in their fur that felt like silk to my skin and I looked up at my sister who was looking bored.

“This doesn’t surprise you?” I asked her as my expected reaction was for her to faint. Instead she sat in the chair with the kids still on her knees stretching their hands out to pat the wolves.

I sent my mates over to get pats while I sat down and waited for my sister’s reaction. “no actually it’s a huge relief to know that they are werewolves and not some thugs. Sis I think it’s time I explain to you some family history.”

I looked at her shocked what could she know about our family that I don’t? At a nod of my head for her to continue I hoped I would get some answers.

As if sensing my distress my mates came back to my side, ash curling up over my feet and Avery jumping up next to me on the couch letting me rub his side.

“Mum and Dad didn’t know if you were ready for the truth before they died, but they knew one of us had to know so that if anything happened to them one of us would know” she looked at me sadly as if I should have caught on by know.

“Normally in our family line we are late bloomers, when it comes to the werewolf gene especially.”
