Lose you by Eric Nam has been stuck in my head recently. Also it sort of inspired this chapter?

Izuku POV

"H-Hey Kacchan..."

I was glaring at Kirishima but he gave me a thumbs up.

Sometimes I question his actions but his shenanigans haven't killed me yet so we'll just roll with it.

Kacchan gave me a look that seemed to scream I'll kill you, you midget.

"Tch. Watch where you're going."

I was still awkwardly standing there and barely comprehended him turning the other way to sulk off.

Before he could go further I ran after him, my little legs could only carry me so fast.

I bumped into his back and he visibly tensed and turned his head at an unnatural position to look me.

"Hah?"

"I-... uh... w-wait for me!"

"Why should I?"

"Because..."

"Because?"

"Because I have a question for you!"

"What is it?"

My mind blanked like a school girl asking out her crush and miserably failing.

"Um... uh... I... you..."

"Spit It out I don't have all day."

Geez take a chill pill but I was still a stuttering mess.

"Um... errr..." and in that moment I panicked.

"W-WHAT'S YOUR FA-FAVORITE TY-TYPE OF QUESO?"

[Queso = cheese]

"So now you suddenly speak Spanish? What the heck? Is that all you wanted to ask me? My favorite type of cheese, seriously?"

"Uh... it's a legitimate question!"

Kacchan gave an irritated sigh but answered the question, "I like Swiss cheese the best."

"Really?! I always pegged you to be a cheddar cheese kind of guy."

"Are you done now?"

I nodded vigorously and turned to take my leave when I heard a familiar voice shout, "NOW!"

It was Kirishima.

Somehow the guy had managed to have rose petals fall from the sky when we were currently still inside a building. Never underestimate the power of a wingman.

This really, really was not the time but it caused Kacchan to stop in his tracks and me to stand there flustered.

It was either now or never.

Kacchan quirked a brow in my direction and I awkwardly stated, "so how about all these roses huh?"

He just shook his head and turned to leave again.

I caught one of the petals and ran after him.

"WAIT!"

I tackled him to the floor and the endless rose petals continued to pelt us.

He let out a groan since I had tackled him to the not so soft flooring.

"Have you been eating more cinnamon rolls lately?" Kacchan asked, his tone oozing out how done he really was with me.
