As we were eating, Abby's phone rang.
"Oh, sorry i have to take this. it's from my mom, she has Dany." she smiled and picked up the phone.
"mom? What's up?"
"okay, let me talk to her."
"hey sweetie." apperantly she is talking to Dany, her daughter. "mommy is still working okay. will you be a good girl at grandpa and grandma's house?"
"yes i know you will."
"good night baby girl. I love you."
"bye sweetie, i'll see you tomorrow okay?" She hung up.
"sorry about that." she said as she smiled.
"yeah thats okay." i smiled back at her.
"how is she doing? I havent seen her since our meeting at the cafe a couple of weeks ago."
"she's doing great." she paused. "she asked about you sometimes."
"really?" i grinned.
"yup, is that so hard to believe?" she said with an innocent face as she took a bite to her sandwich.
"yeah kids don't usually likes me." i shrugged.
"Yeah? why is that?" She asked with a smile.
"I don't know though." I gave her a half smile if only she knew I don't like kids.
The dinner went beautifully other than the fact that I haven't told Abby that I don't like kids and I don't want them, because I decided to let that kid grew on me because I really like Abby and from now on, I am hers.
I think that to love is not to be selfish, it means that you have to be able to let go of your selfish needs and compromise into the need of the two of you. I smiled as I started to paint on my blank canvas for I was inspired by Abby.
*ding*
I opened my phone and it was a reminder of a meeting with a potential client that Raina hooked me up with.
"Okay let's do this!"
