The sun was shining brightly, peeking behind my curtains, demanding to be noticed. I opened my eyes unwillingly. I laid back on my bed for a second or two and finally decided to get up and start my day.

After I'm done with my morning routine, I rang Becca. A few moments after the dial tone came, she picked up.

"Hey Alexxx. What's up?" Becca asked in a very cheerful tone.

"Hey Becs, wanna grab a sandwich from the usual place and hang out?"

"Sure. I'll meet you there around 1 then?" She asked as I looked at the clock. It was 12:09 PM.

"Sounds great." I said with a smile.

"Okay, see ya. Don't be late Lex!" She commanded and I chuckled.

"Yeah boss lady. See ya." I turned off the call and shook my head as I smiled.

I went to my bedroom and started to get ready to go out for lunch with Becca. I changed my cloths into a casual shirt and a ripped black skinny jeans which I like so much. I put my sock on then I grabbed my bag alongside with my phone and keys and threw them inside my bag. I putted my converse on, turned all the lights and electronics in my apartment off then I got out of my apartment. I locked the door and went to the sandwich place to meet Becca.

As I arrived at the parking lot, I saw Becca's yellow Jeep already parked.

I tuned off the engine of my Rover and went inside the sandwich place as I took out my sunglasses.

"Lex!" Becca called and waved at me. I gave her a nodded smile to let her know that I noticed her as I walked there.

"Hey Becs." I greeted her as I took a seat. The waiter came shortly with the menu for us to read and leave to serve other customers. "Have you ordered?" I asked Becca.

"No, I just got here." She looked at the menu and putted it down. "I don't know why I'm even looking at the menu, I'm gonna have the usual." She chuckled as I smiled and shook my head. I wanted to get my usual, but when I looked at the menu, one thing caught my eye, I think they got a new sandwich. It says 'triple beef sandwich with melted cheese.' and it looked very appetizing in the menu. I think I'm going to give that a try.

I called the waiter. He came with a vibrant smile as he held a pen and a piece of paper to write down our orders.

"May I take your order?" He said.

Becca ordered first, with her usual.

"And I want this one please." I said as I pointed at the sandwich I wanted from the menu. He nodded and noted my order.

"And for the drinks?" He asked.

"We'll have 2 coca-colas please. Thank you." Becca said. He nodded and went to the kitchen to place our order.

"Ugh my body's still aching a little bit from last Saturday's sparring. It is all because of my sprained ankle that I missed last month's sparring." I said and Becca laughed.

"Last week's sparring was intensely fun." She chuckled. "That's what you get for missing the gym lately."

I shrugged. "Hey I was busy with work. Which sucked because I can't remember when was the last time I had some fun in that place. How's work for you?"

"It's going along great." She grinned. "I scored 16 points on yesterday's game."

"Yeah I saw yesterday's game on TV, you were great. So proud of you Becs."

"Thanks Lex. I'm really excited for what I can achieve in the future. I mean, when I play basketball, I feel like this is the only place I really belonged." She smiled.
