"Since the sun decided to show up in our beloved Seattle, would you like to go out and grab lunch with me?" He grinned.

"Sorry I can't, I have a lot of things to take care of."

"Can't you just tell Jourdan to do it or something?"

"No Nicholas, I can't. Because she is not the Editor Chief, I am, remember?"

"Yes of course." There was a hesitation and awkwardness in his movement. "Anyways, I was meaning to ask you this in a while now. Did I do something wrong? Because since our last date, you won't reply my texts, you don't answer my call, nor go to lunch with me."

I took a deep breath. "Listen Nick, I'm not attracted to you and I don't think we are good for each other. We don't even have anything in common. So why should we waste our precious time trying to build something that is going to break anyways?" I gave him an arrogant smile.

"Oh come on Lex, it was one date, and I thought it was great. Why don't you give me another chance?" He gave me his puppy face. I stared at him blankly, that stare doesn't work on me because right now, the male ego really pisses me off.

"No, I am not interested."

"Fine, what about dinner, tonight?" He asked hopefully.

"Can you quit it! I said am not interested." I snapped. There was a slight shock and disappointment in his face. "And respectfully, please get the hell out of my office because I'm trying to work and you breaking my concentration." I gave him my pissed off look and shift my attention to my computer.

"Yeah, sorry to bother you Lex." He said softly as he left my office.

In desperate need of fresh air, I got out of my office, and leave the Women's Magazine headquarter then went home.

I opened my phone.

Abby Taylor

Hey. I can't wait to see you tonight. Reservation is set by my name.

I smiled as I read her text. I can't believe I'm saying this but I really can't wait to meet her tonight because with her everything just feels so easy. Hopefully this can be the highlight of my crappy day. Time to get ready for tonight then.

To : Abby Taylor

Okay. See you tonight.:)

A waitress greeted me with a friendly smile as I arrived at the restaurant.

"Good evening Ma'am. Do you have any reservation?" Asked the waitress.

"Yes. It is by the name of Abby Taylor."

"Of course. Ms. Taylor is waiting for you. Please follow me."

"Thank you." I said as the waitress gave me a warm smile and directed me to the table where Abby was seated.

A blonde with a pair of blue eyes spotted.

"Hey Lexy." She said as she stood up from her chair to greet me with a warm smile.

She looked very beautiful beyond words. She wore a casual red dress. Which in my opinion, it really compliments her curled blonde hair and her blue eyes very well. She topped everything up with a light make up and a red lipstick.
