"The bad news is, the healing process is going to be rough. You sprained your ankle pretty bad Lex. So, you got two options. One, you can heal your ankle quickly but it can be very painful during the process of healing and a lot of physical therapy. Or two, the healing process takes a little bit time, but it doesn't hurt as much as the first option." Abby said with a sympathetic smile. Sympathy is the last thing I need right now.

"How long will both the process be?" I asked.

"The quick healing takes about 1-2 weeks . But the regular healing will take around 3 weeks to a month. As your doctor, my professional opinion, is that i think by looking at the condition of your ankle, I say you should take the slow healing. It is less invasive to your ankle muscle. But again that depends on you." She topped her statement with a warm smile.

I took a deep breath. She smells like lavender. I am not a big fan of flowers, but if lavender always smell this sweet, thinking objectively, I think it is an okay flower.

"I'll take the regular then."

Abby was paying attention to me the whole time. "Okay, terrific." She said. "As for the treatment, i will give you a cream to rub on the ankle area to help you heal the muscle tear and it will also act as a painkiller. You should apply the cream around 3 - 5 times a day. I will also write you a prescription for an antibiotic to help you heal your muscle from the inside of your body." She finished with an angelic smile on her face.

"Okay." I said as I couldn't help but smiled back at her.

"Is there anything else?" She asked with a smile after she wrote down my prescription.

"No, that's about it."

"Okay great. This is the prescription for your antibiotic." As we were about to leave. "Oh and uhh, I forgot one thing."

"Yeah, what is it?"

"I need you to come in and check on that ankle once a week during the healing process with me, can that be arranged?"

"Sure."

She took a pen and a piece of pamphlet out of her white coat pocket, then wrote something on the pamphlet. "Here is my practice schedule." She handed me the pamphlet. "And if you want to make an appointment or ask me anything, that is my number." She smiled.

"Yes thank you Doc, I appreciate it."

She walked Becca and I out of the patient room. As she was standing so close to me, I am trying to content myself with the her sweet lavender smell that will soon be replaced with hospital smell.

"Yes no problem Lexy. See you next week. Have a great heal!"

"Yes, will do." Abby nodded with a smile as she drifted to the other way of the hospital, smiling and greeting each and every staff, doctor and nurse she passed by.

And now the hospital smell is back. I should get that lavender perfume.

"OMG, that was the lady you crashed into?" Becca asked as we went to get my medicines.

"Yeah. From some stranger and now she is my doctor. Thats weird."

"Yes that is weird. What's weirder is that I think she likes you."

"I don't think so. She was just being friendly, and I think she has to do that because she is a doctor Becs."

"Yeah, then how do you explain why she was flirting with you."

"What? Don't be ridiculous. I know what flirting looks like, and that doesn't seem like it."

"Hey i know what I saw okay."

"I am saying this because I'm your best friend. I don't think she is gay Becs. Your gaydar suck." I chuckled.

"My gaydar is great, yours suck." She laughed. Becca is right. Although she doesn't have the greatest gaydars, but hers are better than mine. In this case, I'm just hoping she is wrong.

"It is the other way around Becs." I shrugged.

"Suite yourself. You know I am right."

Becca drove me home and helped me up into my apartment.

"The key is under the mat." I said to Becca.

Becca took the key, unlocked my apartment door and we went inside.

I grabbed some chips and a bottle of wine. Becca took the initiative and take two wine glasses. We then sat on the couch and I turned on the TV.

"What a day huh Becs." I sighed as Becca opened the wine and poured some for the two of us.

"Yeah, I know right." She took a big gulp of her wine and sat back lazily on the couch. So did I. "So are you gonna call that doctor?" She smirked at me.

"No, I don't think so. I mean, I've sprained my ankle before, not as bad as this though, but I know what to do."

"Yeah, but she is pretty hot Lex." We both laughed. "Just sayin'" She added.

Yes she is a very attractive looking woman and speaking of women in general, I do have a deep appreciation and fascination for them, but I don't think I like women that way. Do I though? I've never really thought about it to be honest. Is that why it never really worked out with all those men? I shook my head trying to clear whatever it is that I'm thinking.
