It was Elvis officiating the wedding, of course. We could've gotten a normal preacher to do it, but nothing about our relationship was or would ever be normal. An Elvis impersonator in a tight, shiny jumpsuit seemed like the perfect way to seal our fate of a crazy life.

"Are you ready?"

It was Suzy beside me, holding my hand, ready to walk me down the aisle. The girl who had been with me through everything since I was a little girl. It was only fitting that my best friend would be the one taking me to marry my other best friend.

"Fuck no," I laughed, smoothing out my dress as a way to calm myself down. "This is the craziest thing I've ever done."

"Besides the time you got high when you were twelve and fucked—" I slapped my hand over her mouth to shut her up, not wanting to hear the memories I had tried so hard to block out over the past few years. "Sorry. But see! This is, like, not even crazy for you. You've done shit crazier than this in your sleep. I know you're scared, but c'mon... it's David. Even if it doesn't work out, it worked out. You're exactly where you need to be, Genevieve. You always are."

Suzy, though a little wild sometimes, always had a way with words.

"Great," I smiled, squeezing her hand in mine. "Let's do it then!"

And so we did. The doors to the Love Chapel opened, and Suzy and I walked hand in hand down the aisle. Though David had sat right next to me in the limo on the ride to the chapel, he still acted shocked when he first saw me, his jaw dropped and tears pricking his eyes.

I had to roll my eyes to myself at that one. David had a way of making himself seem absolutely perfect, and this was only adding to that. Of course he would cry and be adorable. He was David Dobrik. I expected nothing less.

Once I finally made it to the end of the aisle, Suzy handed me off to my future husband with a quick, not-so-subtle I'm watching you motion. Luckily, Elvis just laughed it off.

He talked in the Elvis voice the whole time, something I didn't expect, and made it very funny and entertaining. Though it was a little awkward, especially since he wouldn't stop flirting with me while reading about the "hell" that is marriage.

After we repeated pre-written, Elvis pun filled vows ("I thought you were nothing but a hound dog, crying all the time, but now I know you're my teddy bear" and many, many more), we got to recite our own, handwritten ones.

"You go first," David instructed me when Elvis gave us free reign.

"Because you think yours are better and you want them to be a big bang?" I raised my eyebrows, knowing all of his tricks.

"Maybe," David smirked, nervously cracking his knuckles. "Just go before Elvis sends us to the Jailhouse Rock."

"Just go before Elvis sends us to the Jailhouse Rock," I mocked sassily under my breath, pulling the vows out of the bouquet and carelessly tossing it to one of the benches, where Nick caught it. I unfolded the little piece of paper and held it in front of me, reading over it one last time only to realize it was stupid. It was stupid to plan words that were supposed to come from the heart. I crumbled up my notes and tossed it at Nick, hitting him dead in the middle of the forehead. I giggled to myself then focused all my attention on David.

"David, from the moment I met you, I knew you were different. I have never felt the way I felt around you. You made me open and honest and brave in the two days we spent together, and I loved it. Since then, you have done nothing but make me a better person and enrich my life which used to be so, so boring. You're my best friend, and I love you more than I've ever loved anyone or anything in my entire life," I smiled, grasping his hands in mine. "You got me, Dobrik. I didn't think anyone ever would, but you did. I'm so thankful that you did. I love you."

David took one of his hands out of mine so he could wipe the tears that were freely falling down his cheeks. He was such a baby; even I, the most emotional person on earth, wasn't crying.

"David?" Elvis prompted him to speak, and he nodded quickly, taking his hands from mine and shaking them out. He took a deep breath before he began his speech.

"Never in a million years did I expect us to be here right now when I first met you, but I wouldn't have it any other way," David smiled reminiscently.  "My life is fucking crazy, maybe even crazier than yours sometimes, and you are, without a doubt, the greatest peace I've ever know. I'm so fucking lucky to have you. You always talk about how you love driving under bridges in the rain, and the momentary peace that you feel before you get back in the rain again, and you're my bridge, Evie. When everything is coming down on me, you are the only person who can make me forget, even if it's just for a few seconds. I love you more than anything. I love you."

Apparently, I spoke too soon about the whole not crying thing. David's vows were the perfect mix of unrehearsed David-charming-magic and practiced vows. The subject matter was even more overwhelming, and by the end of his vows, I was crying harder than David was.

"Can we get the rings up here?" Elvis asked, and Jason stood, pulling out the two toy rings we got from the gumball machine in our hotel lobby. We didn't have time to get actual wedding rings, but I thought the colorful, toy rings were much more in tune to our relationship anyway.

"Do you, David Julian Dobrik, take Genevieve Elliot Parker to be your wife, and do you promise to love her tender, love her sweet?"

David laughed at that (always a sucker for a good pun) and nodded, sliding the ring down my finger. It stayed silent for a few moments before David's eyes widened in shock and he said, "Oh! I do."

"And do you, Genevieve Elliot Parker, take David Julian Dobrik to be your husband, and promise to keep him your hunk of burning love?"

"I do," I cheesily grinned, pushing the ring (which was only a little too small) down his finger.

"Now, then," Elvis smiled. "By the power vested in me by the state of Nevada and God himself, I now pronounce you husband and wife. David, you can kiss your bride."

David smiled, grabbed each side of my face and pulled me in for a quick but passionate kiss. He pulled back only an inch or so, mumbled I love you and then kissed me again.

"Give it up for Mr. and Mrs. Dobrik everyone!" Elvis cheered. Just like our first day together, David swept my legs out from under me and pulled me up to carry me bridal style. It was only fitting. "Thank you! Thank you very much!"
