Minnowfeather gazed up at Silverpelt. She had been sent by Honeystar to take a peek at Beachclan. Minnowfeather personally thought this was wrong. She wasn't sure if it was breaking the warrior code." Why would a medicine cat be sent to spy on another clan?" She wondered aloud.

"Because, you slimy mousebrain, Honeystar needs the information."

Minnowfeather whipped her head around. It was Mudstripe, her clan deputy. "Mudstripe! Err...."

"Might i ask what you are doing, Minnowfeather? Are you not taking in the information? Has not that stupid little worm of an apprentice been just made a warrior and is now on vigil? Now Minnowfeather. Honeystar expects more from you. You may carry on your duty." Mudstripe wriggled back through the long-grasses and the silhouette of his agile shadow disappeared.

Minnowfeather sighed. Since when did Mudstripe allowed to boss cats around like a leader?     She watched carefully at the new warrior. Nothing seemed suspicious. She was just on her vigil. Suddenly, something appeared in the corner of her eye. It was a ginger cat. What seemed strange about it all though, was that the ginger tom was dragging his left fore paw around. It was quite a strange sight. Minnowfeather sighed. She knew Mudstripe was still there, watching her every move. She jumped onto one of curvedtree's branches. The branch was quite narrow. Wide enough to fit about two kits next to each other. As the branch got thinner, Minnowfeather saw more. The ginger cat walked into the medicine den. There was nothing wrong with that, she thought, he was just asking for some poppy seeds. Minnowfeather watched the entrance to the medicine den, now sure that Mudstripe was on the branch above her, hidden in the leaves. Minnowfeather pushed those thoughts to the back of her head. The ginger cat was leaving the den. But through the other side. Minnowfeather was fascinated to see that this injured tom was climing up the rock hill with no difficulty. I must remember this, it could be handy. The ginger tom walked further up the cliff. This was the direction to Leafclan territory. As the tom climbed up toward the cliff edge, Minnowfeather began to scent this Beachclan cat. He was a cat, if Minnowfeather was right, named Flamespark.
