Flamespark hiked up the last rock on the cliff. It felt amazing to look down on camp. Careful not to fall down, he slid himself quietly through the grasses until he scented the Leafclan border. "If i don't come back." He called down to his camp." Then Hawkflower, come find me. Because i'm sure you'll be leader someday. Swiftclaw, you'll see her trying!" Flamespark regretted calling that, because immediately, Whitestar lumbered out of his den and organised a patrol to find him. Swiftclaw, he could see over the peak, was angrily marching around, leading the patrol.
Flamespark turned and fled. He felt like there were cats hiding in the grass. As he limped along, he felt a rush of air behind him. Then hot breath on the tip of his tail. He was about to get clawed any moment. But just in time, he reached the edge of Leafclan territory. He slowed down. Everything had stopped.
Flamespark awoke. He felt as light as a feather. He felt like he could fly. He felt wonder. Bouncing through the forest on high speed, he found himself entering his medicine den. Instead of finding Leafcloud, he found Lakefall and Leafpaw. Leafpaw stayed asleep while Lakefall looked up at him. He saw the twinkle in her eyes.
"Hello, young one."She smiled."Starclan want that paw fixed." She lifted his paw up and crack! It went back into place. This didn't hurt at all.
Flamespark felt sick. The dream blurred into reality. As he woke from unconsciousness, a small, silver tabby leaned over him. He focused his eyes on the she-cat. "Minnowfeather? I thought you were in Cliffclan!" This was a mouse brained question.
"I may be from Cliffclan."But this is my territory.""We're being watched.So i suggest getting up."
"Minnowfeather, this is on the edge of both Cliffclan and grassclan territory. It is definitely not yours!"
"Shut up, i'm saving all the fur on your pelt. Anyway, i'm a medicine cat. I can get away with bending the code a little bit. Can't i?"
"Sorry minnow feather, thanks for saving me." Flamespark was sure this wasn't in the warrior code. I should follow her, it's for my own good.
