I began crying into my hands. River kneeled down next to me and put his arm over my shoulders.

“It’s rough to find something out like that.” River said in a low voice and added, “I know how you feel. I’m sorry.” I pulled away from River to look at him in the face.

“How could you possibly know how I feel right now.” I said threw a horse voice. River took a deep breath and sat down.

“Number 10, Eliza White was my mom’s sister.” River said in a hurt voice. “I wouldn’t except you to remember her since she lived in Florida but she came to visit us once and my dad found out what she was and took her to ROIM. A couple months later she supposedly committed suicide. I just found out that she was actually killed by ROIM a few weeks ago.” River stood up and looked at me. I grabbed his shoulders and pulled him into a hug.

“I’m really sorry man. I was just being reactive. I remember you telling me about her death.” I said. River pulled away to look at me.

“It’s okay, don’t worry about it. I would have reacted the same way.” River gave me a shy smile. He took a deep breath and let it out slowly.

“There is something else I have to tell you.” River said nervously. I just raised my eyebrows at him.

“I don’t really know how to actually tell you this so I’m just going to show you.” River walked back over to the computer and started typing something again.

“Okay so you already know that my dad is the President of ROIM.” Just as River said that wall behind me changed again and this time it was a head shot of River’s dad in an all white suit with the caption under his picture that said,

        Aiden Payne

President of Research of Intellectual Minds.

“And this is the Vice President.” River gave me a nervous look before another picture appeared on the wall next to River’s dad’s picture. This time when I saw the picture I could barley breath. Another head shot of a man in an all white suit appeared with a caption under the picture that said,

        Maddox Rollins

Vice President of Research of Intellectual Minds.

My father is the Vice President of ROIM. My father is the Vice President of the sick twisted psychos that killed my mother. My father is a sick twisted psycho.

I sat down in a chair and couldn’t talk for thirty minutes. I just found out that my mother was killed by ROIM and that my father is responsible for her death. I looked up at River who was looking threw a few books.

“How long have you known?” I finally asked. River looked up at me as if he had forgotten that I was in the room.

“About your mother or father?” He asked in a low voice.

“Both.” I said. He closed the book that he was holding and put it down on the desk.

“Well I’ve always known about your father, but I never told you because I wanted to protect you.” He said.

“Protect me how?” I asked in a stern voice.

“Well your father never knew about you being a mind reader until about a week ago. He was planning on taking you to ROIM the day that Alice tried to save you.” I winced at the mention of Alice. River didn’t seem to notice.
