After a few hours, Venus and Luis were sitting in a taco shop, waiting for their order so they could take it to Oscar's house and watch movies. Luis was a little cranky, so Venus got him a lollipop to suck on while they waited for their food.
Venus got their bag of food and the sauces before walking with Luis holding her hand to the truck. "I thought Oscar told you to stay at the house?" Venus froze from buckling Luis in and turned around to look at her dear friend Pablo.
"No, he didn't."
"It was a joke, chula." Pablo laughed. "What are you guys doing out here?"
"Getting food, duh. Y por qué tu no estás con Oscar?"
"I was on a run and collecting money when he found Alejandra and he wanted to leave as soon as possible." Pablo explained. "Your man is very persistent."
Venus smiled and nodded, closing the back door and opening the driver's door. "Do you need a ride somewhere?"
With a shake of his head, Pablo responded, "I still have drops to do. You go back and wait for Oscar before he gets back and sends the whole gang to look for you."
"I guess." Venus shrugged. She wrapped her arms around Pablo's shoulders and hugged him tightly. "Be safe, chulo." Venus pulled back slightly and kissed his cheek.
"Always. Now go back and be safe at Oscar's house." Pablo told her. Pablo helped her into her truck and looked in the backseat at Luis. "Take care of your mom, papito."
Luis nodded his head and waved through the window. "Okay, bye tío."

"Hear that, papito? Now we can't even go outside."
"No park?"
"Luis, no necesitas ir al parque, abuelo made you a playroom." Lisbet told the toddler. "Ven, papito." Grabbing ahold of his grandmother's hand, Luis and Lisbet walked down the hallway to what used to be a guest room. Luis gasped when the door was opened and ran straight to the corner where the ball pit was. As he jumped in and started rolling around and giggling, Lisbet walked over to her daughter. "Cómo te sientes, amor?"
"Mejor, triste pero mejor que antes." Venus gave a small smile to her mother and sighed as Lisbet hugged her.
"You two are always hiding from me. Sometimes I think you're tired of me." The mother-daughter duo turned around to Venus' father who was standing directly behind them with a look on his face that told them he was suspicious.
"Nunca, amor." Lisbet said, wrapping an arm around her husband's waist and kissing him.
Venus smiled at the two. It was undeniable that her parents were her relationship goals and had been since she was 4 and saw them goofing around in the living room, happy and in love with each other. Now, almost 25 years later, they still acted like teenagers experiencing their first love.
