Ever since Venus was told the plan that was supposed to get Cesar back, she's been on edge. A person going into Prophet territory was one thing, but an ex-Santo who has a green light out on him going into Prophet territory was another thing. She was definitely worried about Cesar's safety seeing as he was left vulnerable with people who want to kill him, and because of her relationship with Prophet$.
Venus couldn't exactly tag along and have a fun time tricking the Prophet$, so all morning, she's been waiting to hear something about Cesar being back. On top of that, taking car of Luis, but he just sat in front of the TV and played in the backyard once he had a snack. Thankfully, he was an easy kid to take care of.
"Papito, you're supposed to steer away from the tree. Not run into it."
"But it's funer."
"More fun." She corrected. "But it won't be fun when your car breaks."
Luis sighed and started reversing before driving away from the tree. It was actually a little comical for Venus to watch because he was acting like a grown man in a child's body. "It's kinda weird how he knows how to drive already."
Venus turned around from leaning against the back porch's ledge and gasped. "Cesar!" The teen smiled at Venus while she ran to him and hugged him tightly. When she pulled back, she grabbed his face gently and looked over him. Other than the fact that he was dirty, he seemed fine. "How was it? You okay?"
"They took the money, but somebody punched me."
Oscar walked up behind Cesar and rolled his eyes at his over exaggerating. "I told you we had to make it believable."
"You could've told me it was going to happen. You have heavy hands." Cesar had a small pout on his face as he glared up at Oscar, but then he saw Venus nodding her head in agreement. "Oh, gross! I'm going with Luis."
Cesar walked about from the former couple and went to Luis, just like he said. "So how do you feel now that he's back?" Venus asked as she nudged Oscar's side with her elbow. "I know you missed him, don't lie."
"He's family, of course I missed him." Oscar admitted. "Don't tell him I said that."
Venus scoffed and rolled her eye before looking back at Luis speeding away from Cesar who was chasing him. "You know, showing your feelings isn't the worst thing in the world."
"I know that."
"When was the last time you told him you love him and gave him a hug? And not in the aggressive way you do it. You say 'I love you' to him like you hate him."
"No I don't."
"Yeah you do." Venus retorted. "You say it like 'I love you, mano.'" Venus imitated, making her voice deep as she scrunched her face up exactly how he did. Scary enough, it sounded exactly how he said it in the backyard when Cesar first told Oscar about the Rollerworld money. "Say it to him like you say it to Luis."
"That's not fair, Luis is a baby."
"So is Cesar. He's just a bigger one."
