treinta y seis: she's back

Back at the tattoo shop, Venus stretched her hand out since it got cramped from tattooing someone's back for the past 4 hours. "You done now?"

"I told you that you didn't have to stay here."

Oscar shrugged as he held Luis on his shoulders. "I got nothing else to do." Which was a lie, but not really. No one had told her that Alejandra had gotten away, so Venus just assumed she was dead or at least gone and wouldn't bug her anymore. Instead, Oscar stayed at the shop in case Alejandra decided to pay his new girl a visit, again. "We can get food now."

"I guess. You ready for your nap, papito?" Luis nodded tiredly with his chin on top of Oscar's head. "We can leave now."

Luis squirmed on Oscar's shoulders to get into Venus' arms and rest on her shoulder. Oscar followed after the two with his guard up, opening both the shop door and car door for them. Luis fell asleep almost the exact second that Venus put him in his car seat, and the two laughed at his tiredness.

"I thought we were getting food?" Venus asked Oscar once she realized they were close to his house with no food in the car.

Oscar shook his head and gestured to Luis who had his head thrown back and one hand holding 3 of Venus' fingers. "I'm a chef, I'll just make some food. Plus we save money."

Venus laughed and shifted her body so she was mostly facing him. "Since when do you worry about money?"

"Since Luis decided he wanted to buy everything he sees on TV." Oscar shrugged. It was no doubt that Oscar loved and treated Luis like he was his own, so Venus wasn't very surprised with his response.

The rest of the drive was silent, but uncomfortable for Venus since one arm was bent back the whole time to hold Luis' hand and the other was holding Oscar's hand.

"I'm just saying, Luis can sleep in Cesar's room and you and I can-"

"Oscar, no."

Oscar smacked his lips and looked over at his girlfriend taking their baby out of his car seat. "Why not? No one's gonna be here for a few hours, so we won't get interrupted."

Venus smacked her lips and continued walking to the front door of the Diaz house. "We had sex last night, chill."

"Venus, that was like 12 hours ago." Oscar stated, watching her lay Luis in their washed sheets and kiss his forehead.

"Exactly, so you can wait."

Oscar continued to follow Venus around the house like a dog in heat. So how she ended up naked on the kitchen counter with her head thrown back and her legs around Oscar's waist was a mystery that she didn't know how to solve.

"If you woke up my baby, I'm kicking your ass." Venus threatened, a slight pant in her voice, as she stood up on wobbly legs to throw her clothes back on once she saw the gang pulling up outside.

Oscar watched Venus with a smirk and didn't even try resisting when she bent over to pick up her jeans. "I wasn't the one making all the noise, mamas." Venus turned around and glared, but Oscar wasn't sure if it was because of what he said or because he slapped her ass.

Once dressed, Venus walked down the hallway to check on Luis while Oscar started cleaning the counter. Venus quietly opened the bedroom door and got confused when the bed was empty. "Papito?"

Oscar heard Venus call out for Luis and the opening of the closet, then started growing curious. Venus looked around the room and saw the glass on the floor from the window.

"Oscar!" At the distressed shout, Oscar quickly went down the hallway, speeding up when he heard a crash in the room. "She fucking took him!" Venus yelled, slapping a piece of paper to Oscar's chest.

The nude lipstick stuck out and Oscar immediately knew who broke into his house and took his son.

"Venus, cálmate." Oscar called out to her. He grabbed her face too stop her pacing and looked into her teary eyes. "We'll find him, I promise. We'll find Alejandra and deal with her, too."

"I just want my baby back."

Oscar nodded and kissed her forehead. "I'll get him back." He grabbed his car keys and was about to walk out of the house until Venus pulled him back.

"I want to come." Oscar shook his gead and opened his mouth to object, but Venus cut him off. "He's my son. I want to be there when you find him."

By the time the sun was down, the whole gang had driven all over town, at least the Santos side of Freeridge. They interrogated neighbors, liquor store owners, Alejandra's grandma, hell, they even asked Ruby's family.

With no sign of Alejandra or Luis, Venus was starting to become even more anxious about the safety of her son. "What about the other side of town?"

"Venus, you know we ain't allowed on that side." Enrique told her.

"No, you guys aren't allowed to, but I can." Everyone objected her suggestion and started saying that she isn't going to the Prophet side. "My son might be over there and for all we know, Alejandra gave him to someone to get her fix. Going over there won't hurt me because at least I'll know."

The gang stayed silent until Oscar spoke up. "If you go, I'm going with you."

"Spooky-"

"No, she's right. Luis might be over there, and he's damn well scared out of his mind. You ain't gotta come, but we're finding our son."

The gang all looked at each other and to the couple that was determined to raise hell to get Luis back.

"I'll go too." Pablo spoke up. More of the cholos nodded or said that they were going while looking at their best friend and their leader.

"Then let's go find Luis." Venus said. No one moved and her eyes followed them all. "Now."

"Wait, I'm coming too." A feminine voice called out. Everyone turned and saw Luciana running up to them. "I brought my bat."
