The young woman sat with Joly as they discussed the medical work. Listening to him became harder by the second as she noticed a small ruckus by the table where Enjolras stood.

"Merci, madame!" Enjolras shouted. "Tis' for the people!"

"The people don't need to hear your cantankerous shouting every day! I'll have none of it- Non!" Came another voice. This caused the lady to rise from where she was seated and sigh. She walked over to where Enjolras stood.

"Desole mademoiselle, for the trouble. Au revoir!" Cora called out the window, closing it quickly. Enjolras just turned around and got back to discussing his plans with the other schoolboys. "Enjolras!" She walked over towards him. He turned around, looking over a pamphlet.

"I'm working, cherè." He kept his eyes on the pamphlet and walked towards her.

"And you're so called working disrupts other people's working!" She placed her small hands on her hips and waited patiently for him to respond.

"We'll go over it tonight cherè. I am very busy and we have things to do. " He looked her in the eyes and place his hand on her shoulder. The woman responded by giving an exasperated look towards Marius.

"Enjolras- You just yelled out a window about revolution, that's not exactly helping the people!"

Trying to snap his attention onto the problem and off of his so-called 'work'.

"It's the French Revolution, we're helping, not everyone is going to be à l'aise." His tone rose to a slightly more teaching manner, which didn't exactly move the case along smoothly.

"Even so, we need to make everyone à l'aise as possible." The woman said, trying to reason with the man without raising her own voice.

"Cherè-" He began, getting very frustrated with the current situation, "We will talk later, okay?" his eyebrows raised slightly as he looked down to her.

"Yes, Enjolras- okay." She moved her hands back to the sides of her dress and began to turn the other way, but before she could, he quickly turned her around and slightly leaned down to her ear.

"Remember that I love you, though." Was what he whispered into her ear, and then so quickly, you barely would even know it happened- a quick kiss was placed on her cheek. Before he smiled and turned back to the table surrounded by a few other schoolboys.

She was left in the complete shock that someone like Enjolras would even do that, it was hard enough coaxing him into holding her hand, let alone peck her on the cheek! Blushing, she walked over to where Marius stood, leaning against the stairs railings.

"Pontmercy." The woman greeted as she stood by him, smiling slightly.

"Oh, dear Cora. Did he leave you in such a shock that you're not scolding me for slouching." Marius joked, slouching down a bit further and chuckling slightly.

"Marius!" She stuttered out, going a bit pink. "It's bad for the back!"

"When did you become such a mom?" He stood up straight and laughed. "When Enjolras took lead of the immature?"

"I don't act like a mom to any of you. I'm a nurse, it's my job." Placing her hand on the top if the rail.

The young man began once again "Well, Gavroche-"

"Is a literal child and needs to be protected! Remember this isn't exactly safe, Marius!" Sadly, nodding her head and taking a step to lean against the railing.
