Watch Out!!

It took 2 weeks for Can to go back to school, in the 2 weeks, Good visited him as much as he could. He would help him with school and talk about Mia non stop. Can felt like he knew her all ready. She sounded really nice. Pete and Ae would also visit to help him. He really like Pete, he was gentle and would look angry or annoyed if he didn’t get it. Totally different from Ae. Techno came over twice with fruit and talk about football, how his teammates missed him and how he should get better soon. The doctor had advised him to take it slow. He could go to school for half a day. Luckily, his school and teachers were understanding, they made special arrangements for him. He could sleep at the school infirmary after school or when he got too tired and the best part was that the teachers left him alone. He felt like a king.

Football training was less good. He would flinch when someone kicked the ball near him. He still did his best, but he was scared of the ball. Techno noticed it and took him to the side. “Can, if you are not ready to train, then you can wait. What happened to you is really big and nobody will look bad at you.” Can felt bad for Techno and his team mates, but he was not really ready. “I’m really sorry, P’Techno. I’m just overreacting. It’s just reflects, I think. I’ll sit out this training, but next week I’ll train with you guys.” He walked to the benches and sat down sadly. The rest of the hour he watch his teammates train and would help with small things, like water and towels. His teammates didn’t tease him or complained that he was sitting on the bench. They all were there when he got knockout. Instead they would told him not to worry and they he’ll be running around the field in no time. It made Can feel, better, but he still felt guilty, even if he knew that it wasn’t his fault. One afternoon, Good asked him if he was willing to have lunch with Mia. Can was very curious about her so he agreed straight away. They planned to meet the next day during the big break at the cantine of the international building, because the food was better.

Good was very excited when they met up in front of their building. “Mia… can’t.... wait… to… meet… you… I… talked… so… much… about… you…” The day went by slow specially for Good. When the bell rang for the big break, Good dumped everything into his bag and waited impatiently until Can was finished. He janked Can out of his seat and ran to the shuttle bus stop, all the while pulling Can along. Can was amused to see his usaully slow friend move this fast. ‘What love can do to people’ He thought. When they got off the shuttle bus, Good walked over to a beautiful girl, smiling from ear to ear. She had long black hair that was dyed bright blue at the ends. She had big eyes, but when she smiled at Good, they turned into half moons. ‘She looks like a manga character. Good is so lucky’ Can walked over and awkwardly stood beside Good. “Poky, your late. You must be Can. Nice to meet you, I’m Mia.” Can was scared to ask but he asked anyway. “What does Poky mean?” Mai smiled again. “That is short for Slowpoke. That’s my nickname for Good.” Can burst out laughing. “That is a great nickname, we’ll call him Sloth, but Slowpoke is much better.” “Don’t… you… dare… I… kill… you…” Good pouted, Can mouth fell open. He had never seen his friend act cute. Can got goosebumps all over and his hands were itching to hit Good, but he let it go, because Mia was standing in front of him. “Let’s go, or else the best food will be gone.” Can followed Mia and Good to the cantine. There were a lot of things they could pick from, but Mia walked straight to the Fried Rice and Spicy Shrimp Soup stall. “That… is… her… favorite… when… she… in… school… When… we… eat… out… she… luckily… picks… other… stuff…” Good was looking at his girlfriend with hearts in his eyes, Can was slowly losing his appetite. ‘Maybe this was a bad idea’

He looked around the cantine looking to see other foods stalls. In the end he decided to get a Green Curry, while he was standing in line he noticed the boy from his dream. He was shocked to see him. ‘He is real. It wasn’t just my imagination. What should I do. He’s walking this way! Oh My God, we made I contact. What should I do.’ Can’s face went from white to pink to red in a matter of seconds. He could see surprise in the boy’s eyes, but the boy walked by and left the cantine. He wanted to know who this boy was and why he was dreaming of him, but he was hungry and he couldn’t just leave Mia and Good. He was frustrated but since the boy was at his university he could always try and find him again. He looked at where the boy had walked out and sight. While waiting for his turn, he would look back, hoping that the boy would walk back in, but that didn’t happen. When it was his time, he ordered his Green Curry and went looking for Mia and Good. He found them near the back, they were sitting with another girl, she was also pretty, but not as pretty as Mia. When Can sat down, Mia introduced him to the girl. “Can, this is Ping, she is my best friend. Ping this is Can, Good’s best friend.” Can shyly said hello, he was not good at talking to girls. Lemon was the only girl he was close with and she was his sister.
