Police sirens......that is all you heard in a mile radius of the subway station downtown. The once crowded station is now empty with fluorescent caution tape blocking off all of the exits, and the scene of the crime. No one knew what had caused the boy to jump in front of the train, barely anyone even knew who the boy was. Outside of the station sits at least a dozen police cars and a news van. A man in his who looks to be in his mid thirties tries to pass through the line of cops blocking the area.
" I need to get in there!!" The man shouted pushing the officer, many emotions floating through him.
"I'm sorry sir but this case is not open for the public. Now would you please back up," the officer grunted using his force to push the man back from the entrance of the station. Anger and annoyance was evident on the officers face as he has had enough of this man.
"You listen here-" the man paused to look at the name tag of the officer," You listen here Officer Mcginnens that was my son that was hit by that train. Now I suggest you move."
the inside of the station was covered in caution tape as a group of police officers stood by the tracks looking at the scene. Over the past months there had been many reported deaths much like this one, yet none of them looked to be accidental.
"I don't understand," one of the officers said," There are another set of footprints here besides the boy's." He said pointing to the ground where another set of footprints lie next to the place the boy once stood."It doesn't look like they left though because there isn't another pair of prints leaving."
"That's very similar to many of the deaths before, like the girl last month that got hit by a car," another officer pitched into the conversation."If there aren't another pair leaving, maybe they are stepping over the prints that are already there so that there is only one pair of prints."
"Maybe there is someone instigating them,or taking it upon themselves to do the deed." one of the FBI officers suggested."Whoever is doing this is a lot smarter than we have let on," She paused then continued," Well judging by the second pair of prints, they are somewhat smaller and not as heavy as the average males. I feel like this is a female doing this, plus she can't be that old because she doesn't drag her feet like many older women do." She concluded.
As the day progressed more evidence was gathered about who this mysterious girl was, but only the girl herself knew the intentions. By dusk the many police cars that surrounded the building were gone and the busy streets grew silent leaving an eerie feeling in the air as the rain fell. Everyone in the area was now aware of the death of the boy and were cautiously stepping back into their homes until this 'murderer' was gone once and for all.
The sun rose through the empty streets. Only one person dared to walk down the streets alone. His brown boots crushing the stray pebbles that lay in his way on the sidewalk, A long black coat covers his body protecting him from the cold, his unruly chestnut brown hair hidden under a dark blue beanie some hairs still peaking out, his rustic green eyes staring straight ahead as though he is on a mission to do something and nothing is getting in his way.
He knew the story of what had just happened, he knew it was dangerous but he felt he had to learn more about it. He needed to find the worthy cause. When he reached the station he didn't hesitate to cross the Tape blocking the entrance. He descended down the stairs two at a time until he got to the bottom where the room opens up and the mess of the station was left for his eyes to wander over.
After what seemed like hours, he finally left the scene. He didn't say a word to anyone, he just left. But somewhere in his mind he knew that leaving wasn't the end of it. He knew that there was something pulling him back into the situation even if he wasn't a part of it in the first place.
He knew that this was just the beginning.
