VIOLET GREY looked herself over in her mirror before deciding she was ready.

The brunette was gorgeous in not only a supermodel type of way, but her beauty went farther than that, ethereal even. Of course, in order to embark on her determined mission, Violet had to look the part. She had successfully gotten her makeup right after two failed attempts resorting to Youtube videos.

She had gotten her uniform adjusted so that it looked like the exact replica every other girl wore at Riverside Preparatory, her skirt was hemmed where it was still modest but sparked intrigue, and her white polo was neatly tucked into her plaid skirt.

Grabbing her white canvas Balenciaga tote, which contained all of her academic materials, she slung it over her shoulder as she left her room. Stopping by the kitchen, Violet grabbed a bagel, eating it on her way out. She got in the luxurious apartment's elevator and got off at the lobby. Waving at the doorman, Violet stepped through the door to breathe in the warm August air of Manhattan. She greeted her driver as he held the door open for her, and got inside the limo.

"We're going to have to stop by the Irvines' brownstone please," She commented to her driver who nodded as he started the car.

Violet looked out of the window, admiring the city she loved, and the city her peers took advantage of in ways such as deciding which car or building they wanted to buy next with daddy's money.

The car came to a halt, and Violet smiled when she saw Carson leaning against his building looking annoyed. His expression quickly changed when he saw the limo pull up and joined Violet as they drove to Riverside.

"You know today is crucial if you want to go through with this," Carson said, this time with an expression on his fave Violet couldn't read, it was like worry meshed with fear.

"I know," Violet said biting her lip, nothing would ever be the same.

The rest of the car ride was filled with Carson talking about his classes and the dreaded schoolwork he wasn't ready for. Finally, the car stopped in front of the illustrious ivy-covered building.

The co-ed private school was one of the most prominent across not only Manhattan but the nation. Carson went first, holding the door open for her as she stepped out after him, her feet already aching from the black Louboutin heels she had decided to wear.

"See you later, kid," Carson said once they had climbed the small steps that led to the school's entrance.

He walked off to the East Wing of the building, where his first class was, meanwhile Violet continued through the central part of the building where the main office was located as she had to retrieve her dreaded schedule.

"Hi, dear. Have a good summer?" The old lady behind the office counter asked Violet, smiling up at her.

"Hi Mrs. Robbie, I did, thanks for asking. I was wondering if I could get my schedule?" Violet asked her sweetly.

Mrs. Robbie nodded and stood up, going to the back of the office room before returning back with a printed copy of Violet's schedule. Thanking her, Violet marched off to her AP Chemistry class, earning a few glances and whispers towards her direction.

All of them whispering, wondering if she was a new student or asking themselves what the hell happened to Violet Grey over the summer.

Violet stepped into her first period choosing a seat behind Nadine Behzadi and Tomas Ito as they had gotten there earlier than her.

Their morning meeting must have ended early, Violet thought. Carson had told her the elite always met in the courtyard every morning and in between every class, and sat together at lunch at the center table one of the many pristine table's Riverside had in its state-of-the-art cafeteria.
