Episode 19: Lover's Quarrel

"Thanks for the lift" Noct told the chaffeur that Ignis sent.

"No problem your highness" he said and he began to drive away from Noct's apartment.

Noct turned around to find Prompto walking up the stairs to the apartment.

"Uh-Prompt?" Noct called out but Prompto didn't listen and kept walking.

"Hey wait" Noct ran behind Prompto.

They got to the door of Noct's apartment and Prompto opened the door.

"Wait, how did you open-?" Noct looked at Prompto and Prompto showed off a key card, "Ignis gave me a key card"

Noct looked confused but Prompto walked inside, serious and gloomy.

What's wrong with him now? Noct thought.

Prompto placed his bag on the chair and Noct placed his own on the couch.

"Prompto" Noct called out.

Prompto ignored him.

"Prompto" Noct said again as he neared him. Prompto placed his phone on the table.

"Hey, what's wrong? I'm talking to you" Noct said as he placed a hand on Prompto's shoulder.

Prompto shrugged him off, "let go" and Noct stood back surprised and confused.

"Prompto" Noct quietly said.

"What?" Prompto said annoyingly.

"Look at me" Noct demaded.

Prompto gritted his teeth with tears starting to fill his eyes.

Noct frowned, "tch, I said look at me" Noct grabbed Prompto's arm and Prompto brushed him away, "no, I said let go" Prompto said.

Noct didn't give up and he forcebly turned Prompto around to look at him.

"Ow" Prompto said as he did.

"I said look at-" Noct's eyes widened as he saw Prompto's teary sad face. Noct took a step back. Silence filling the room for a second before Prompto sniffed a tear.

"What's wrong?" Noct ask worried, "why.. Why are you crying?"

Prompto looked down.

Noct shook his head, "what is it now? Did I do something wrong?" Noct said as he grabbed his chest, "we were good this morning. What happened?"

Prompto looked up at Noct, "are you gonna get married?"

Noct froze and stared at Prompto nervously.

"I don't know what you're talking about" Noct looked to the side.

Prompto poked Noct's chest with his finger, "Yes you do"

He looked back at Prompto, "What are you talking about?" he asked frustrated.

"What am I talking about?" Prompto furrowed his eyebrows, "when were you gonna tell me?" Prompto raised his voice a little.

Noct furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, "tell you?"

"Yes TELL ME!" Prompto snapped back and took a step closer to Noct.

"tell YOU WHAT?!"

"THAT YOU WERE GONNA MARRY PRINCESS LUNAFREYA!" Prompto yelled and then took a step back to cover his mouth to prevent a sob from coming out.

"....where?.. Where did you hear that?" Noct asked shocked.

"It doesn't matter" Prompto looked to the side. A tear falling down his cheek.
