Episode 2: Friends

FRIENDS

Prompto Pov

Hey I'm Prompto Argentum. And I am a third year going to school at Insomnia High. I don't like school but I don't dislike it either. The only place where I can feel full and not lonely is in school. Many who see me there may think I have alot of friends but its actually the contrary. I laugh with others and others greet me in a friendly way. That said I have alot of aquaintances but I don't have one single friend. Its not my fault though,  wait no,  its not tbeir fault, wait, what I'm I saying? Its my fault actually. I come here to be around others, and to study as well, but at the same time I find myself keeping a distance,  so basically I'm blocking myself from others. I haven't figured out why but maybe its the fact that I don't want my personal life being told through the whole school. Maybe I'm just worried to what they are going to think of me, my past and now. That the Prompto they see now is not how it all seems. I don't want their pity. But today this new student came in to our class and enrolled for the semestre. And it was none other than the Prince of Inmsonia. Nothing really surprises me anymore,  and this neither. I was just 'surprised' a bit because I had just found out this morning about the presence of a Prince of Insomnia. I was completely ignorant of that. I don't really pay attention to what goes on in the Citadel. I just know we have our King and that's it. But it turns out he seems interesting. For some reason,  he felt close. He felt like someone whom I can open up to and befriend. And so it happens I fell asleep in class which never happens and he wakes me up and I find out the class was dismissed early. Alone we were in the class. And alone is not what I wanted to spend the whole day today. So I invited him to go eat out. I don't care who he is. As long as I'm not alone. That should be fine,  plus,  he IS interesting. I feel comfortable around him. Nothing more. Is it okay for me to open up to him? But he will only be here for the first semester and I won't see him again after Christmas. Maybe I should....... He will be gone and I won't have to face him.

Authors Pov

Prompto and Noctis walked their way out to the gate of the school where a nice black limo awaited for Prince Noctis. Noct scratched his neck and turned to face Prompto.

"Hey,  Prompto,  was it?"

"Yeah" Prompto looked at him as they both stopped walking.

"Can you wait for me here? I need to take care of something"

"Sure buddy,  do what you have to do" Prompto smiled and gave him a pat on Noct's shoulder.

It caught Noct off guard again. Well what wasn't going to get him off guard with Prompto around him now. He is surprising Noct by the minute and Prompto doesn't know it.

"Alright then" Noctis said with a straight face.

Prompto watched Noctis walk up to the Limo from afar.

It's probably his ride home? Prompto thought.

Noct was seen talking to a tall guy with very interesting features which made him look handsome and nice aligned expensive glasses that made him look sharp. With a few more interchanging conversations between them,  the mysterious man left and Noct stood there watching it disappear from the corner of the street.

Prompto pierced his lips and then approached Noct. He swinged his hand over Noctis, "alright let's go! I know a great place where we can eat for now!" he exclaimed in excitement.
