Freakish (Lauren/you)

Chapter 8

(A/n: this is the last chapter of Freakish. I know it was a very short book but i had written it a long time ago, that's why it's not that good)

The four of them went upstairs and told the others the news and they all celebrated. "I'm hungry" Camila said "let's go and eat" Normani chuckled. They all made their way to the canteen and Lauren brought the box of gas masks with her. "Ok so now the plan is, that we will all go outside while wearing the gas masks and look for help...and we are lucky because there are six masks so that means two of us will have to stay back and wait for us" Tyler said. Dinah started to check through the gas masks "change of plan guys...they're all broken...except for this one" Ally said holding up the only gas mask that wasn't broken "that means only one person will be able to go" Normani said. All students looked at each other, waiting for someone to volunteer "lets draw names from a hat" Tyler suggested, seeing that no one was going to volunteer.

They all wrote their names on a piece of paper, put it in a hat, shuffled up the names and took one out "the name is...Dinah" Aidan said. Dinah stood there looking uneasy "I think you should test it out first, before you go out there with it" Aidan said. Dinah was hesitant "oh...ok" Dinah slowly put the mask on, but she started to panic, and she felt as though she was suffocating "Dinah are you ok?" Normani asked. Dinah pulled of the mask "I can't do it....im sorry" Dinah ran into the corridor and Normani went running after her "Dinah what's wrong?" Normani asked "It's just that I am...claustrophobic and I started to panic" Dinah replied trying to steady her breathing "oh it's alright we all get that" Normani replied. 

They both made their way back in to the canteen "let's pick another name because Dinah can't do it" Lauren said "can I pick?" Tyler asked. He picked out a name and it was Camila's name. Oh no Camila won't be able to do it...plus she is a girl I should do it myself Tyler thought to himself "oh it's my name" Tyler said while quickly putting the name back in the hat, before a one could see that it was Camila's name.

Everyone helped Tyler to get ready to leave. Finally he was ready. "Bye Tyler come back safely" everyone said "and remember if you can't find anything out there than just come back" Y/n said "oh don't forget your walkie-talkie" Camila said while handing the walkie-talkie to him. Tyler quickly opened the door and ran out.

A few hours later Dinah heard someone banging on the main door she went to go and see if it was Tyler, but it was a tall, fair man who looked as if he was in his early thirties, with a gas mask on. Natalie opened the door very quickly and the man came running in.

All of the students were in the hallway questioning him as he took off his gas mask. "Who are you?" "What are you here for?" "Are you here to help us?" the students questioned him. "My name is Derek, and I am here to get you out of here. Someone named Aidan contacted us and...well I tracked the call." Derek explained to the students "ok kids my plan is to give you all an injection that will basically make you immune to the chemical that is outside, then I will get you guys out of here to the headquarters" Derek told everyone his plan "can I ask you a question?" Aidan asked "yes go ahead" Derek replied "if that injection makes us immune to the chemicals outside...then how come you didn't inject yourself? You came in with a gas mask" Aidan questioned "umm....well, basically there was not enough injections so I had to use a gas mask" Derek replied.

They all made their way to the canteen. Derek took out the injections from his satchel and placed it on the table. "Ok who wants to go first?" Derek asked the students "I will" Ally replied and waited to be injected.

Aidan grabbed one the syringes and ran off with it "HEY! Get him!" Derek shouted. Y/n started chasing Aidan. Finally She caught him "listen, y/n, come with me I need to show you something" Aidan said anxiously "why did you run off with the syringe?" Y/n questioned "just come with me" Aidan said, leading y/n to the maths room where the school pet hamster was. He then injected the hamster "now just wait and watch" Aidan said to Y/n. A few moments later the hamster died. "See its poison!" Aidan shouted "what the fuck! Shit!, Ally's going to be injected...come on we need to stop him!" Y/n said, running back to the canteen where the others were, with Derek.

Aidan and Y/n ran as fast as they could. They ran in to the canteen and Derek was just about to inject Ally "STOP!" Y/n shouted. "That man is trying to kill you...its poison" Aidan shouted. Derek grabbed his gas mask, and ran. Aidan started to chase him, and soon all the students were following behind.

Lauren grabbed a bat and hit Derek right In the back of his head, and Derek drooped the floor. Lauren, Aidan and Y/n tied Derek up before he could wake up. A few minutes later Derek woke up and began talking to Lauren who was sitting close to him keeping an eye on him. While Derek was talking and trying to distract Lauren he got a knife out of his pocket and started to cut the rope, that was wrapped around his hands behind his back.

As soon as Derek cut the rope he grabbed a hold of Lauren and held the knife to her throat "LET GO OF HER!" Y/n shouted "no! Stay back!" Derek shouted back "why are you doing this?" Camila asked, frightened of what was going to happen "I have my reasons" Derek smirked. 

Derek grabbed his gas mask and dragged Lauren to the entrance. There was a moment of quiet, Lauren silently begging y/n to help her. Before Derek could get closer to the front door of the school, y/n pounced on Derek and tried to grab the knife, but in the process Lauren got cut on the arm "agh!" Lauren screamed. Y/n realised that Lauren got hurt and let go of Derek. Y/n got worried and tried to help Lauren...but Derek grabbed her and dragged her to the door "if anyone comes near me I will slit her throat!" Derek threatened the students, eyeing y/n. Derek got to the front door, pushed Lauren on to the floor and ran out.

Y/n kneeled next to Lauren "are you ok?" Y/n asked "No my arm" Lauren grunted in pain "here take this" Tyler said while taking off his bandana and passing it to Y/n. Y/n wrapped the bandana around Lauren's wound "it's not too deep so we won't have to stitch it up" she reassured Lauren staring into her green eyes that had a curtain of fear covering the usual glimmer.

"So what do we do now...?" Normani asked spiritlessly "I guess we just hope that Tyler finds some help" Barret replied.

"That fucking idiot deserves to die!" Lauren said, getting angered by the situation everyone was in "don't worry he will...I attached an stopwatch to his bag. Now when that stopwatch goes off it will attract all the zombies...and they will eat him!" Y/n said with a grin on her face.

"I guess we just wait now" Ally said. "Come on, I'm hungry" Camila said grabbing Dinah's arm and pulling her towards the canteen. Slowly everyone left the main hall and made their way to the canteen...everyone except for two. Lauren and y/n. The two girls sat on the floor staring at the sealed door in front of them. "Thank you" Lauren broke the silence "for what?" Y/n asked "for saving me" Lauren rested her head on y/n's shoulder "I'll always be there for you" y/n said wrapping her arm around Lauren and placing a soft kiss on her forehead.

"Y'know, I wasn't even supposed to be here the day of detention" y/n spoke up "what do you mean?" Lauren asked picking her head up and facing towards y/n "the day of the detention...I didn't actually have detention, was there to see you" y/n softly smiled "what? What do you mean?...y/n, if you didn't come that day you could've saved yourself, you wouldn't be here right now" Lauren said, realising that she was the reason why y/n was there "exactly if it wasn't for you I wouldn't be here right now...and I'd probably be dead." Y/n said, tucking a strand of Lauren's hair behind her ear.

"I don't know if you've noticed Lauren, but, I really like you. I mean I like you ,like you" y/n said getting nervous "well y/n...I like you, like you, too" Lauren smirked. Slowly both girls started to lean in and they pressed their lips together. The feeling they were feeling was unexplainable. Y/n felt as though her whole body was on fire, and Lauren felt as though someone had set off fireworks inside of her. Both girls slowly started to move their lips together, y/n's hands tangling themselves in Lauren hair, and Lauren's right hand gently resting on y/n's cheek as her left hand rested on a
Y/n's waist. Before they could lose all the oxygen left in their lungs they slowly pulled back. Both girls resting their foreheads on the others.

"I risked my life, just for that" y/n said trying to hold her smile "was it worth it?" Lauren smirked "oh it was definitely worth it" y/n said before desperately leaning in for another kiss.

A/n: Hey guys so this is the last chapter to Freakish! I hope you enjoyed it, tell me what you think. I'm sorry I know I left it on a cliffhanger but I hadn't planned an actual ending for this story. I'm sorry about the length of this book, I had originally written this book like three years ago and I had recently found so I thought of converting it to a Lauren/you book.
