(A/n): So, I'm thinking of making a Clem x non-binary reader book to be fair with those who come across this book. I wrote this book in my perspective in a way because I couldn't find any female reader x Clem books, so I wanted to write one not just for me, but for others who crush on Clem as well. I'm thinking of starting it after I finish this one, and I'm thinking of whether or not I want to rewrite this one with a non-binary reader instead or write a new story line. Sorry for the rant, I just realized how not very inclusive this story is and I want to make it up to everybody.

Okay, so, it really is creepy and strange when you think about food after watching someone chop their damn hand off, but can you blame us? We're starving, and thanks to Gia and her sickly infected hand taking that life of some poor rabbit, we would have still been sitting there with rumbling stomachs and fatigue.I miss going to restaurants and eating the greasiest foods and getting sick later on. I miss going to the movies and eating buttery popcorn and drinking root beer, waiting for the movie to start. I miss theme parks, malls, skating rinks and aquariums. I just miss how life was before, and I especially miss food. Now we can only eat dead rodents and canned fruit (if we're lucky).
I miss my parents, friends, teachers, my cats and my dogs. I miss my warm bed, my toys, and my sister. I miss everything. Although, if the apocalypse didn't happen, I may have not met Clem. I could have crossed paths with her in regular life, but I don't think we'd have the freedom to be together like we do now.
It's not like the zombies care that we're two girls dating, we're just humans they can munch on.
Somehow that's even better than dealing with homophobes.
Clem and I were chilling out, roasting the bunny over a campfire. Gia walks back out with us, sits down and lets out a small groan. She was ghostly pale.
That's bad.
"Gia, are you feeling okay?" I ask, slowly rising to my feet.
After a small wave with her hand, she rests her forehead on the bottom of her palm and hugs her stub into her chest.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm okay. Just tired."
I shoot Clem a look.
She glances at me with sorrow and worry. Clem ushes me inside the house and pulls me aside."(Y/n), I think we were too late."
"I think so too. She looks sick."
"I've seen this happen before. My caretaker, Lee..." She took a deep breath in and let it out quickly.
"Alright, no more sugar coating it. I got myself kidnapped when I was nine, Lee was looking all over for me. I lost my hat, and when he found it, a walker bit him. He had the idea to chop his arm off to keep the bite from spreading but they were too late. Lee and I both ended up in some shop and he asked me to handcuff him to a radiator and to either shoot him or leave him. I shot him because I hated seeing him suffer. I've been alone ever since. I miss him everyday and regret ever talking to that man on the radio. I was so stupid and caused my best friend to die. I hate myself everyday for that." She started to sob. I took her in my arms and held her close.
"I still see him in my dreams, he talks to me. I just hope it is actually him and not my mind. I just want to know that he's happy and okay in whatever form he's in. I like Gia, but I don't think she's going to last any longer. I think we need to put her out."We walk back out and Gia's sitting at the fire, but she's dozed off. Tiny grumbles can be heard coming from her.
"Gia? Are you sure you're okay?"
She doesn't answer.
Clem pulls out her dagger and slowly approaches her.
"Gia? Can you hear us?" Clem speaks out, holding out her dagger, point down.
Gia turns around. She's paler than snow, and her eyes are glossed over and white. Little blue and purple veins ran across her ghostly pale skin. That's not Gia anymore. She stares at us for a good second and turns back around to look at the fire.
She's not aggressive at all. That's a new phenomenon. Clem and I look at each other in confusion.
I sit down next to the zombified Gia and slowly touched her shoulder.Gia looks at me, her mouth hanging low with growls coming from her. She's not attacking me or showing any aggression towards me at all. That's more than weird. It's like she doesn't care about the fact that free lunch is sitting right in front of her. But that doesn't exactly mean that she's safe to be around, we don't know her intentions. She could be thinking like a predator, once we let our guard down, she'll pounce. That's why I'm not taking my eyes off of her.
"Clem?" I call out to her.
"Yes?"
"What do we do now?"
"Kill her."
"I don't want to."
"Why not? She's a walker, she's dangerous."
"She's not hurting us."
"She might later!"
"I just don't want to kill her! She knew Malinda!"
"Killing her is humane, (Y/n)."
"But what if Gia is still here?! We can nurse her back to health!"
"Would you stop talking and listen for one minute?! Oh my god (Y/n), there is nothing we can do about her. She's dead. She's gone. Grow. Up."
I look back at Clem in disbelief.
Clem kept a stern look and stormed off inside.Gia was watching, still quietly grumbling.
I looked at her and let a few tears slip."You weren't supposed to see that. I know you're like dead and all but that was embarrassing." I said to her. Gia turns back to the fire.
I decided to chase back after Clementine and apologize to her.
"Yes, (Y/n)?" she asked with a disdained tone in her voice.
"I just wanted to say that I'm sorry. I was being stupid and delusional. You're right, we should just kill Gia."
Clementine looks at me and walks over. She pulls me in an embrace and hugs me tight.
"I'm sorry for telling you to grow up. You don't need to, you're mature."
I smile at her and kiss her.
"Let's go check on that rabbit...and zombie Gia." I said, a saddened chuckle following after.
