Previously: (at the end of CH4 in Naomi's POV since I didn't finish the chapter in Sean's POV.)

"Sean, I didn't really know that this was going to happen," I lied, "I had a feeling though. I'm really not supposed to warn you. They want to see how you would've reacted. They wanted to test your wits and your guts. It was smart for kneeing him. You wouldn't of been able to hurt him any other way. Threatening my uncle was pretty smart, too. I'm proud of you, okay? We'll be okay. I don't think that'll happen again."

Sean rolled over, smiling. "Thanks for the motivational speech but I really just want the evil witch to let me sleep..." His eyes fluttered closed.

I couldn't help the cheeky grin that was plastered on my face. Evil witch, eh?

You've won today Sean but you will feel like you've lost a thousand times when I'm through with you.

Sean's POV

I've been awake for five hours total just punching and kicking repetitively at this brutally abused punching-bad. I've done this routine nonstop for fifteen days; that means I've been beating the living daylights out of this bag for approximately sixty hours. That's almost three days. Thank the Heavens that I didn't have to do this on Saturdays.

My bones have been locking up on me and I'd bed Naomi over and over for a break. She hasn't given me any breaks and we haven't had breakfast yet. I was desperate but she's way too in sync with this routine that she doesn't even feel it anymore. She's gone numb.

"Hungry?" She asks through heavy pants. She wiped the sweat lining her brow.

Licking my lips hungrily, I nodded, famished. "Yes, please, seriously. Give me some of the microwavable junk!"

She laughed. "Oh, are you sure? Don't you want the chicken? My uncle gave into your stomach needs. We'll have our fridge stocked weekly with six pieces of chicken legs and some protein-packed sandwiches. My dad saves the breasts and  thighs for himself, sadly."

I had bolted away once the beautiful word "chicken" came from her lips. I ripped the door open as if my own life depended on it. My stomach growled impatiently as my mouth watered over the glorious pieces of chicken. I disregarded any manners and was ready to sink my teeth into one of them until Naomi interrupted me. "Hey. three of those pieces are mine! Come on, get the chicken heated for thirty seconds. Get your arse over here. We need to talk, okay?"

Her happy-go-lucky attitude was replaced with her well-known 'confident, stern' face. It's the one that  produced a wall over her emotions and she sat there, cross-legged, waiting. I already felt my nerves being poked at with needles. My subconscious was brainstorming everything that could possibly come out of her mouth. I shoved the pieces of chicken into the microwave and pressed in the numbers to heat it.

'What if she'll be telling you that you have to see her dad and uncle again?" My subconscious whispered worriedly. 'Dylan would not be please with seeing you after you injured his manhood... Or what if she tells you that you have to attempt another one of those tests? You either pass the test or you die! I mean, you can't take too many of those tests before you fail and get your head chopped off or something. What if she's going to leave you with some macho man so I could get better training? No, no, that won't happen. She has to stay with you to keep giving you those important  signals... Right? Can it happen? Oh no, oh no, please no...'
