On July 18th she was watching Bucky at his football practice during his summer training. She was starting to get uncomfortable and then she started to count them. Then she walked onto the football field and said "Hey um Coach Taylor."
"Yeah Preslynn." Coach said
"I need Barnes now." she said as she went through a contraction.
"Okay.. " Coach said
"BARNES!!!" he yelled
He came over to him and he looked at Preslynn "Baby.." he said
"I think we need to go." she said
He ran to the locker room and changed out real fast then he helped her into the truck. He rushed her to the hospital then Dr Maximoff said "Well do we have going on Preslynn."
"They are 3 to 5 minutes a part." she said through pain.
Dr Maximoff said "Let's check your cervix okay?'
"Okay." she said
Dr Maximoff moved the blanket and checked her then she said "Oh yeah we are definitely having that baby today you are at a 7 Preslynn. Do you want an epiduaral?'
"Yeah.." she said
She got her epidural then she was able to sleep a little. Bucky called all their family and friends to let them know that she was in labor and let coach know that he would need some time off from practice. The nurses came in and checked her and Bucky could hear his son's heart beat cause of the doppler.
A few hours later ...
Preslynn was pushing and pushing then Dr Maximoff said " OKay um we need to get an OR the baby is stuck in her birth canal which is what I was afraid of."
They got to the OR and Bucky sat by her head and Dr Maximoff started the c section then within 20 minutes they heard their son's cry. Bucky got to cut the cord and he said "Baby he's a chunk."
"I know that's why I had to have a c section." she said then the nurse brought him to her and she said "Hey little guy did you want to watch daddy practice." His big blue eyes were looking right at her and she said "God he looks so much like you James."
He kissed Preslynn and he said "I don't know if that's a good thing or not."
"Little Carter James we love you little man." Bucky said
About an hour later they were in their room and she was feeding him. "Baby he's perfect I love him." she whispered as he was eating and sleeping.
Bucky kissed her and said "I love you baby and him."
They went home a few days later they were moved into a new dorm suite with two rooms that they used for a nursery.
