The Starter Squad (the story)

Chapter 11

Paarthurnax was about to sit back down but he got another knock on the door. He slammed his claws on the desk in front of him in frustration and he closed a  criminal file of a picture of Pulse and threw it aside. "Come In..." he growled under his breath.

Carrion and Nami walked in. "Sorry to bother you, Paarthurnax, But we'd like to report that Crisis is now behind bars where she belongs."

"Great... But we still don't know where Pulse has gone... He has disappeared without any trace of where he is now."

"Actually... We had gotten a recent report that Pulse has arrived back in town and he has evolved into a Houndoom. A female Snubull seems to be in trouble." Carrion replied.

"What?! Why didn't you tell me this before? We need to go now and bring a group of Starters with us!"

"Got it!" Carrion and Nami responded in unison.

When they finally made it to the scene of the crime, it was already too late. The Snubull was laying on the ground in a pool of blood and her skull ripped out of her head.

Paarthurnax, Carrion and Nami just stared in terror at the messy crime scene. Paarthurnax just shook his head. He didn't want to show any fear. "Halt In the name of the law!" He shouted.

"The Starter Squad!" Pulse growled, licking his bloody lip. "To what pleasure did you come here?"

"Pulse! You are under arrest for the murder of countless Pokémon!" Paarthurnax announced.

"Oh you clearly have me mistaken for someone else. I don't murder. I get what I want. And what I want is you idiots to get off of my tail! This is a free region until you decided to go marching around to declare the Squad is a tyrant!" Pulse snarled. He was about to attack them with a Crunch Attack without warning.

The Starters dodged the attack except for a Monferno who wasn't as lucky and Pulse managed to strike her in the chest. Her blood oozed out of the wound in her chest as she collapsed to the floor in her blood puddle. "Minty!" A Pikachu in the group shouted in alarm.

Pulse smirked as he laughed in pleasure. "You're no match for me!" He licked a bloody paw. Paarthurnax took this as an opportunity to attack with Slash.

Pulse yelped in surprise and backed up from the Squad. "This isn't over!"

"Oh I believe it already has!" A Shiny Marshtomp replied before using Muddy Water to push Pulse away.

"What was that?!" Paarthurnax shouted at the Marshtomp. "We had him! We could have caught him and you let him escape!"

They were suddenly disrupted when they heard a moan from Minty. "We need to get her help now!" Paarthurnax said, he carefully picked her up and they left. Unbeknownst to them they were being watched the whole time.
