Chapter 83: Blue Heart

"Y/n" A nasally voice whispered as something cold poked Y/n's cheek, "Wake up,"

"Gimme an eon..." Y/n groaned as they rolled over, gripping their comforter tight and pulling it over their shoulder. The sound of something stubby running across the floor echoed through the room

"Lapis, they're doing the thing again," Peridot groaned as she jumped from the bed and onto the wooden floor of Y/n's attic

"Come on, Y/n," Lapis Lazuli laughed as she put a hand on their shoulder and shook them lightly, "We got stuff to do."

"I know..." Y/n mumbled as they adjusted themself slightly, keeping their eyes shut and pushing themself down into their pillow

Peridot rubbed her chin as she squinted at the stubborn human in front of her, "Hmm... Lapis, this calls for drastic measure... Release Pumpkin,"

Lapis Lazuli laughed to herself as she picked the hyper Pumpkin up from the floor and dropped her right next to Y/n's face. Pumpkin barked happily as she pressed herself up against Y/n's face, panting loudly and continually pushing herself into their face, a loud thud rang out with every press

"I'm up, I'm up," Y/n sighed as they sat up, rubbing their forehead, "Morning, Pumpkin," they laughed as they used their free hand to pat Pumpkin's top.

Pumpkin barked and jumped off their bed, then into Lapis Lazuli's arms as the two gems stood at Y/n's bedside, "Don't you ever get tired of sleep?" Peridot complained

"Sleep is what I do when I get tired," Y/n reminded as they tossed the covers off, "Morning to you guys too,"

"Morning," Lapis Lazuli replied lackadaisically

"What do ya guys have planned for today?" Y/n asked as they swung their feet off the side of their bed and stood up, groaning loudly as they stretched up towards the ceiling

"Well," Peridot said smugly as she smiled, putting a hand on her chest, "Today, you have the absolute honor of bringing Lapis and I tooooo-" Peridot cheered as she jumped onto their bed, trying to get eye-level, "The cinematic theater!"

"...You wanna go see a movie?" Y/n frowned as they looked to Peridot and rubbed their eyes, "Which one?"

"Nyeh... There're different types?" Peridot smiled nervously

"Mhm," Y/n laughed as they grabbed Peridot by the sides and lifted her down onto the floor, "There's action, horror, comedy, drama, romance, sci-fi, documentaries. And they switch out the kinds of movies all the time,"

"Oh... This is a lot more complex than I imagined," Peridot murmured

"Don't worry about it, I'll pick a movie I think you guys will like" Y/n assured as they went to their closet, "I guess we can ask Steven to watch Pumpkin..."

"Pumpkin wants to come too," Lapis Lazuli told as she pat Pumpkin on the head

Y/n sighed as they grabbed a few articles of clothing from their closet, hanging it on the handle of the door, "Pets aren't allowed in theaters,"

"Ooh! I have an idea!" Peridot said, "We could sneak Pumpkin in with us!"

"And how'd we do that?" Y/n asked

"It's simple!" Peridot told as she grabbed Pumpkin and approached Y/n, "We just have her pose as a human fetus!"

"...Pardon me?" Y/n frowned as they turned around and raised an eyebrow

"We put Pumpkin on top of your stomach and cover her with your shirt and we just say that you're with child!" Peridot explained, "It's perfect!"

"Uh... No, it isn't. For several reasons," Y/n sighed
