Everyone stared at Pearl in shock, her hands flying over her mouth. Amethyst's jaw dropped as she looked to Garnet, whose hands were already over Connie's ears before Pearl had opened her mouth.

Removing her hands from Connie's head, she turned the human to face her, "Connie, why don't you go play outside."

"Play outside? I'm- I don't do that anymore, I think I'm a little too old." Connie frowned

"Well, today is as good as any day to start again," Garnet insisted as she began escorting Connie towards the door, "Amethyst still plays outside and she's thousands of years old."

"I don't think that counts," Connie replied as she looked up at Garnet, who already had her hand on the door.

"You should find out if it does," Garnet said as she pushed Connie out of the Temple and let the door close in her face.

The closed door did nothing to stop Connie from hearing Pearl start to yell, every word a swear. Connie uncomfortably backed up from the door, keeping an eye on it as she gripped the handrail of the stairs. As she carefully descended each step with purpose, the sound of Pearl's voice began to seem quieter and quieter until it suddenly stopped. Connie considered walking back up the steps, but quickly decided against it as she finally turned around and darted down the rest of the stairs.

"Oh, Y/n, guess who's joining us for dinner~" Pink Pearl called out as she led Greg further into the unfamiliar room, the smell of roasting steaks quickly filling the air around him as he took in a deep breath.

"Uh, can't be Cici or Val, They're still on that cru-" A voice began, but soon cut off as someone who looked incredibly similar to Y/n walked into view. Both Greg and the Y/n doppelganger jumped at the sight of each other.

"oh my god" Y/n mumbled out in slight surprise, "Well, well, well, Mr. Universe himself! How're you doing, man?"

"Oh, uh, I'm doing fine. I guess... Didn't know about this... parallel world stuff," Greg gestured to the area around him.

"They kept you out of the loop on that?" Y/n snorted, "No one in that timeline explains anything to anyone, I swear..."

"Yeah, uh, no, they don't tell me much." Greg confirmed.

"So," Pink Pearl cut in, looking to Y/n then pointing to the human next to her, "Greg. Is he your dad or like your dad?"

"Like my dad," Y/n said as they pointed to Pink Pearl.

"Ah, I see. Got it mixed up," Pink Pearl hummed as she twirled her finger, pointing it to her temple.

"Is that steak?" Greg asked suddenly as he pointed behind Y/n.

"Sure is," Y/n smiled, looking back at the hallway they just walked through. They turned back to face the two in front of them and motioned for Greg to follow into a separate room.

"So where are we, by the way?" Greg asked as he looked around at his surroundings.

"Homeworld," Y/n replied simply as they entered what appeared to be a dining room.

Greg blinked in surprise as he took another look around to take in the scenery before him, "Huh, doesn't look as bad as Rose talked about."

"Yeah, I made it just a little more comfy for me," Y/n told as they pulled out a chair, gesturing for Greg to sit, "Do you like porterhouse?"

"Do I like porterhouse?" Greg laughed with faux incredulity as he began to sit down, looking at Pink Pearl with an "are you kidding me?" look. She returned the look with a giggle and a shake of her head.
