"The Rubies are back?!" Steven exclaimed as he saw the small red gems floating in water bubbles in the air. Their ship was parked nearby as Garnet and Pearl watched from a distance.
"They showed up on their little ship acting very angry. So I put them in time-out," Lapis Lazuli told
"I thought we were done with these guys!" Steven groaned as he walked up the rubies, "Why did you come back here?"
"Let's release one and just ask what they're up to," Garnet suggested
"Ooh, ooh! Can I pick?" Steven asked
"Go for it," Garnet nodded
"Hmm... Oh! Let's talk to Leggy!" Steven said
"Hey, that's what I named her too!" Y/n laughed
"Leggy?" Pearl frowned
"I named them based on the placement of their gems," Steven told, "There's Leggy, Army, Navy, Eyeball, and, uh... Doc,"
"Steven... That's exactly what I named them too," Y/n told
"No way," Steven laughed, "You know what they say: Great minds think alike!"
"Let's get back to asking questions," Garnet said
"Right," Steven nodded, "Leggy seems easiest to talk to,"
"Leggy, come down!" Lapis Lazuli said as she lowered her bubble and let Leggy out
"Hey! Hi, I'm Steven. What brings you back to Earth?" Steven asked as he approached
"Uh..." Leggy murmured as she sat up, " I... don't... know?"
"Oh, uh, I understand. I used to forget why we go on missions all the time," Steven assured
"I'm gonna... Just... Y/n!" Leggy cried out as she stood up and ran towards Y/n, crashing into their leg and hugging it tightly
"Hey there. I missed you," Y/n smiled and patted her square hair
"Let's take a chance on Army," Steven said
Lapis Lazuli nodded as she popped Army's bubble; Once Army hit the ground she charged at Steven, "RAAH! I'll tear you limb-" Before Army could get any further Garnet picked her up off the ground, "Huh?"
"Hey! Don't be like that," Garnet chastised
"Why I oughta razzle-frazzle your-" Army struggled
"Aw," Garnet mumbled as she tucked Army under her arm
"Hey! I want Y/n! Not you!" Army spat
"Fine," Garnet said as she dropped Army, who immediately ran over to Y/n and grabbed their hand
"Hey, Ruby," Y/n smiled
"Eh...Navy?" Steven said carefully. Lapis Lazuli moved her hand and allowed Navy to fall to the ground
"If I remember correctly, we were on Earth-" Navy said as she looked away, "Uh... hah! This is so embarrassing! Oh-ho- Aha!" Navy squirmed as she blushed, running towards Y/n and hiding behind the opposite leg of Leggy
"Good to see you again," Y/n laughed
"It's great to see you too!" Navy cheered, "I'm so happy you're here!"
"Okay, Eyeball?" Steven suggested as Lapis Lazuli dropped her from her bubble
Eyeball crossed her arms and frowned, "I'm not tellin' y'all nothin' about nothin'!"
