Fall into the flood

Break in

The Flood had been banging on the heavy metal doors for an hour now and the soldiers were starting to relax.

"I think the door will hold them back." One of the marines say as he gets off a warthog turret.

"Get back in position we don't know what to expect from them." Mitch shouted trying to get him to go back on the turret.

"Oh come on they've been trying to break the door for over an hour now. There is no way they can get in." The marine complains not wanting to man the gun.

"Just get back on the turret and fallow orders." Mitch yells as he shoves the marine in the direction of the turret.

"Ok jeez, you crazy ODST." He said muttering the last part under his breath.

After he got back onto the turret they started to hear a hail of gunfire from the other side of the door.

"What the heck!" One of the Innies say as he raises his gun.

Right after that the doors blew open revealing two giant flood tanks

(Bigger version of flood)

with the turrets from the warthogs on one of their arms.

As soon as the doors fell to the floor the giant flood opened fire on a warthog causing it to explode sending shrapnel everywhere.

"Shit." John said as he started to fire his rifle at the creatures who had started to swarm in behind the two massive flood.

All the turrets had started to fire at the massive flood as they started to approach Andrea, Arthur, and about a dozen marines. The bullets only managed to slow them down as one picked up Andrea in its arm preparing to crush her. But before it had the chance she pulled the pin on one of her grenades and shoved it into the creatures flesh and then pulled her arm free with a pistol and shot it in the eye making it throw her right into the side of a warthog. She then bounced right of the warthog landing on her side as Andrew ran over.

"Are you okay?" Arthur asked concerned.

"Yeah I'm fine Artie but he's not going to be." She says pointing at the massive flood as it exploded making it drop to the ground with a loud thump.

As this went on John and Mitch were shooting at the other one only slightly wounding it as it chased them.

"Let's get to the armory we can get some better equipment there." Mitch says as they continued to run.

"Okay let's do it." John says as they raced over to it and open the door.

"Here take this." Mitch says tossing John a rocket launcher as he picked up a shotgun.

"Okay let's do this." John says putting his rifle and machine gun on his back.

As they got back to the battlefield they're numbers were starting to dwindle.

"Take em down!" Mitch shouts as John fired two rockets into the horde sending them flying everywhere.

"Everybody retreat!" John yelled as he ran to a group of marines.

As they started to retreat the group however got separated with John and a dozen marines now in the barracks and everyone else in the command center.

"Where's John?." Greg asked Mitch as the doors locked.

"I think I saw him go to the barracks with some of the marines." Mitch says as he reloads his shotgun from shooting at the flood on the way over.

"Ugh fine we just need to wait for a UNSC frigate to get here with reinforcements, lets just hope we can bunker down here until then." Greg says butting his sniper on his back and grabbing his DMR.
