Fall into the flood

The team

They had just arrived to the base via Pelican. After getting off they went to report in to Captain Tomas Myres.
As they entered Tomas was sitting at a chair looking at several screens of drones in the jungle each with a different camera view. He turned around revealing himself to be a rather short man with dark grey hair and a set of glasses along with the UNSC uniform which was a light grey jumpsuit.
"Ah welcome I guess you are all wondering why you are here?" He said to them seeming happy.

"Yes sir we were wondering what our mission objective is?" John asked standing stiff hopping it wasn't something to dangerous.

"Well Lieutenant sadly this will be a long term mission since the insurrectionists seem to be in hiding somewhere on the planet. But don't worry there are not to many of them it's just that they keep ambushing my soldiers as they venture out into the jungle to look for suitable locations to start colonies." Tomas explained to them.

"So what will we be doing while we wait sir?" asked Andrea as she stepped forward to speak.

"Well you all can just relax and wait until I need you." He said in a calming manner as he waved them all to leave.
After they left he turned back to the screens with a menacing look in his eye and thought to himself
'Where are you! You insurrectionist filth it's time to start a little game.'

Back with the team

They had went to the mess hall to eat and had all removed their helmets each showing their faces.

John had black helmet hair and grey eyes along with a scar on his forehead about the size of a ball but in the shape of a jagged star.

Andrea had dark brown hair in a a ponytail and had brown eyes but had no distinguishable facial features.

Drew had a shaved head and black eyes with a scar going down his right eye down to his cheek.

Arthur had blond hair which was comed to the side and had light blue eyes.

Mich had a black buzz cut and dark blue eyes but had no scars that could be seen.

Greg had red helmet hair and bright green eyes with freckles all over his face.

"Well guys a new start to a new team." Greg said trying to cheer everyone up but failing.
"Ok then whatever, well what do you all specialize in." he then said trying to create conversation.

"Well Greg you already know I specialize with vehicles." John said

"I specialize with computers." Andrea then said to them.

"Well I'm a medic and I used to be in Andrea's squad." Arthur said fallowing her lead.

"I specialize in explosives." Drew said to them since the others were doing it.

"My specialty is stealth." Mich said to everyone quietly.

"Well guys my skill is snipping." Greg said cheerfully.

"Really your a sniper aren't they supposed to be you know quiet because you never stopped talking on the ride over here." Drew said jokingly.

"Well whatever let's just give those insurrectionists the fight of their lives." Greg said as he began eating.
