the outside of the muffin was a bit crunchy like it had a crown made of crust decorating the top, and the inside was pure mushy chocolate, with dashes of savory sugar decorating the sides. it was so unhealthy but so damn good. jungkook grinned at the feelings and took a larger bite, enjoying the extreme sweetness of the melting flavors in his mouth. soon the chocolate muffin was done, and he was left with a somewhat dirty brown wrapper that jungkook's wanted to lick clean, but he held himself back.

tae stared fondly at jungkook from the corners of the kitchen, his head having to move at awkward angles to be able to see his love. rex sometimes blocked tae's view because he loved to make a fuss and jump around in front of jungkook just to be a bother. no lie, that child was a complete brat.

the kitchen was also quite crowded, making people dash in and out, and in front of his view.

taehyung rolled his eyes and continued back to the kitchen as rex wasn't budging this time, almost standing on the table in front of jungkook. taehyung could feel himself getting a little upset, so he shook his head and tried to remember his conversation with jungkook from earlier. he really needed to start working on his anger issues again, or he would snap at jungkook just like he used to.

the rain outside had started to die down a little bit, the thunder fading to little rumbles. the eye of the storm far from where they were. jungkook was starting to think of bringing rex back to the office, as his extreme behavior from that morning had started decreasing, and it was getting very late very quickly.

and though it as so late, jungkook continued eating his breakfast dinner. as that was tae's favorite meal to give to jungkook.

the sun had set behind the storm, the bright pink, yellow, and orange, colors not showing that night, as the storm was too strong. but the town far from them caught a glimpse of the colors that blurred together in perfection. namjoon sat under the clouds, the colors slightly leaking through, as yoongi and jimin admired their lover from inside. they decided to pull him out of the rain, as the colors faded into the grey clouds once again. they went to bed early, so they could witness the sunrise the next day.

jungkook finally finished the bright yellow scrambled eggs, perfectly crispy bacon, and the meting muffin, that reminded jungkook of himself around tae. because the younger melted into a pile of affection whenever listening to tae speak, or exist.

jungkook pulled out the card and paid, after grabbing an ice cream for rex to eat with his banana milk, while jungkook would say goodbye to tae. he didn't know when he would get a big break from work again and needed to distract rex until he as done saying goodbye to his boyfriend.

"tae?" jungkook called out once inside the kitchen, nervousness bubbling in his stomach. taehyung's head popped out from behind a shelf and a box grin instantly made it onto his face.

"bunny, are you leaving me?" tae asked, frowning a bit, but trying to maintain a happy aura, as he knew he was still getting somewhat upset, and taehyung was always happy when looking at his bunny.

jungkook didn't say a word as he pulled tae out of the hot kitchen and back to where they were earlier in the day. the white apron on tae's frame hugged his small waist and jungkook blushed at just a glimpse of the male.

"i think i should return rex to work, he's starting to become tired and it's not like him." tae nodded in understanding but stopped to say some encouraging words before jungkook would leave. taehyung, of course, noticed the dark circles under jungkook's eyes, and the lingering gaze jungkook held in the cafe for people's coffee. he saw jungkook eye one couple sleeping in the booths for quite a long time, and taehyung sighed at the memory, knowing how jungkook felt and how exhausted he was.

"listen, jungkook. you may not want to hear this right now, but i think it's important. don't work so much, please, it pains me to see you like this. you look exhausted, i can see the aching in your eyes. please take care of yourself for me, bunny." taehyung held jungkook's face in his large hands, almost as if jungkook would disappear any second.

jungkook nodded quickly, trying to listen to taehyung's words as the best he could. he was quite tired, but hadn't realized how much he just wanted to sleep all day. jungkook just wanted a break, and to lay with taehyung all day.

"promise me you won't overwork yourself anymore. i know you are just trying to do a good job, but it's okay to slow down a bit. you don't need to exhaust yourself every day. take a break, bunny. it's okay to slack if you need to, just don't give up. we'll be in control soon enough," taehyung put his finger to jungkook's mouth, slightly massaging his plumper lip.

"thank you, tae," jungkook's voice sang, slightly cracking at the end of his sentence. jungkook could feel the admiration coming from the stare in taehyung's eyes. the fondness leaking out, with small diamond tears.

"no problem, my queen," taehyung laughed lightly, wiping the red hair from jungkook's eyes. "you're roots are starting to show," taehyung pointed out. brown strands of hair starting to appear through the bright rose color.

"i'll fix it. and i'll fix my behavior. i promise you taehyung, i'm going to slow down."

"m'kay, let me hold you for a few minutes before you head off to work. i'll see you in the morning okay?"

jungkook nodded and let his king, taehyung, hold him for a while.
