Leo

Okay, so I realize that ever since I woke up this morning, I've been feeling... different.

I feel more reckless.

I feel powerful again.

I feel.. GOOD.

(Flashback)

"See you, bitches." Aspen said, mockingly.

I know that I will face punishment later.

And I know now that everyone here knows about my cutting.

I force myself to not think about all of the shame.

I'm actually really worried about what my friends will say.

Friends.

Ha.

I feel really unsure of myself as I walk away with Aspen.

I've been the jokester, the weakest link, the loner, the seventh wheel the whole time I've been at camp.

And nobody ever realized how broken I was.

Which hurts.

But am I really ready to completely change myself, and show all of my true colors?

ALL of them.

No.

I'm not.

I decide to just talk to Aspen, and worry about all of my random mood swings later.

Gods, why the fuck am I so confused.

I've always felt fake. Weak.

But now, I feel just confused.

"Hey, Leo, are you okay?" Aspen mumbles under his breath as we walk away.

"I'm good." I whisper when we're a safe distance away.

"Leo, are you REALLY okay?" He says, looking into my eyes.

I feel that little flame inside of me again.

"No.." I choke out.

Gods, how does he do that?

Aspen pulls me into a hug, and I can tell how tense he is when he feels how thin I am.

I feel a tingle of pleasure go through me at his touch.

Stop it, Leo!

He's probably already forgotten...

Aspen looks into my eyes, and I see something very familiar in them.

Nope.

He has NOT forgotten.

I feel strange.

And I feel a bit like a teenage girl.

"Leo, you HAVE to eat SOMETHING. I will not let you die."

As I said before, I feel very confused.

"Aspen, before that, we really need to talk." I try to put on a brave face, but really I just want to vomit.

Aspen must see the torment on my face, so he quickly agrees.

"But we are going to get you something. And I know just the thing."

Aspen walks into the dining pavilion and steals something from the buffet.

He comes back, and in his hands are a pile of gummy bears.

I laugh.

Aspen smiles.

"You know Leo, you've changed so much. Yet you've changed so little. But, I have too. And I think it's time to have our little chat."
