"Get your ass out of bed now or I swear I'll pour this bucket of ice cold water on you!" Janice stood over me, the sunlight from the window giving me an instant headache. I hadn't left my bedroom for six days and I had no intentions of leaving either.

Pac was still pissed at me and he made it his mission to fuck Kurupt up whenever he saw him. Kurupt hadn't even came to get his car yet, but I already knew that was to avoid Pac. But he had nothing to worry about because after me and Pac had our argument, he left and I hadn't seen him since. I tried calling countless of times to make amends with him but he just wouldn't listen. So, there I was, moping around.

"Well, you have to go to the launch party for 'Above The Rim,' to support your label, and on top of that, we're going to Asia tomorrow! So get yourself together, let Tupac do him." Her words meant absolutely nothing to me at the moment.

"I got to get to the airport, come on J." I heard Nas's voice at the doorframe of my bedroom, causing me to instantly cover up my face with the blanket. I resented Janice for even allowing him in my house with me looking a complete wreck.

"I'm coming, I just got to talk to Mika. If you haven't noticed, she's been in this damn house for the past week and I can't stand to watch this anymore-" Nas quickly interjected, motioning for her to go into the living room.

The sound of my door being closed, made me let out a sigh of relief before I turned around and noticed Nas standing there near my bed. "Oh my god." I attempted to grab my pillow but he pulled it away from me, setting it to the side.

"Can I sit?" He asked, pointing towards the side of my bed. I hesitantly nodded my head, slowly sitting up on the bed.

"What's been going on with you? That's if you don't mind me asking. I don't wanna get all in your personal business, cause we don't know each other like that and everything." He held his hands up in surrender, sitting down a few inches away from me.

"Well, I'm sure you know who I'm with. Well, he's angry with me over something I didn't even do. My ex or whatever he was to me, came over drunk, so I helped him get his shit together, and called his friends to come pick him up- and he left his car over here. So, that was a red flag for Pac who came home later on that night from clubbing. He started going crazy and blatantly made accusations so I ended up calling my ex to confirm that nothing happened... but instead of telling the truth, he made it seem like we did in fact do something." Saying it aloud made me even more furious than I was that night.

"I know that there's nothing I can say nor do to fix the situation but one thing I can say is, you can't let that shit stop you from living your life. If he really loves you, he'll come back but if he doesn't, they'll be another man to come and scoop you up. So, don't sweat it." He sent a smile my way, I returning the gesture.

"You're right. Not too many guys out there have the mentality that you do, I respect that." I complimented.

"I look at it this way, I wouldn't want my daughter fucking with some lame ass nigga. I want her to see her daddy as someone to look for in a boyfriend or husband." He explained, resting his hands on his lap.

"Aw, you have a daughter?" He nodded his head, his eyes lighting up. "Well, yeah. But she isn't born yet, my shorty is only six months along, so she'll be here sometime in June." It was nice seeing a man who had some sense and a family- he had a good head on his shoulders from the looks of it.
