Her eyes slowly opened, where she rubbed the cold out of them as she struggled to sit up but the pain shot right through her body. "Slow down, honey." Her head darted across the room, being met with her mother as well as her father, his wife, Afeni and Jewell. Her vision was starting to become clearer as she realized she was in a hospital room, a needle stuck into her arm.

"What's going on?" She glanced around at everyone, slowly but surely beginning to panic. The monitor showed her heart rate increasing. The door quickly opened as a Doctor stepped inside, a look of alertness plastered on his face.

"It's fine, Doc. She's okay, just startled, that's all." Jewell reassured him. He walked further into the room before looking through her chart. "No one still haven't told me anything. Why am I here? Where's my husband, he's the one hurting. I'm in perfectly good shape, I'm fine." She looked amongst everyone in the room, who didn't have a thing to say.

"Uh, how about you all go outside while I talk to her?" Afeni questioned politely as the Doctor lead everyone out of the room, closing the door behind them securely. Afeni walked around the bed before pulling the chair next to her bed.

"Am I sick? What's wrong?" Mika's eyes widened worryingly as she looked around the room once more, trying to wrap her mind around everything. "No, no, you're fine. You fainted from dehydration. You need minor medical attention, but you're fine." She formed a small, weakening smile on her face as she took her hand into Mika's.

"I'm not convinced, something else is going on. Where's Pac? I've got to see him, he's the one that deserves all of the attention, not me-"

"Mika, he's gone. He passed this evening. You made the call, you don't remember?" It pained Afeni to say it, but it seemed that no one else had the intention to do so.

"No, no. That couldn't, I couldn't have done that. That's not right, he was getting better, he was-"

"Honey, you did. He needed to be resuscitated a bunch of times before you told them to stop. He was in pain, but he's fine now. He's in no more pain, he's free." Tears fell down the side of her face, her heart breaking the more he continued to speak.

"No! No! No!" Her sudden outburst caught Afeni off guard as she attempted to keep her calm but it wouldn't work. Mika turned her body in the opposite direction as she began to rock herself back and forth.

The moment flashed in her mind, reminding her that she indeed told the doctors to stop. And she began to blame herself. "I need to be alone." Mika struggled to form a sentence, her voice trembling.

Afeni stared at her backside for a brief second until she stood up and walked out of the room. She placed her hand onto her chest before resting her hand on the wall. It felt like an eternity before she was met with everyone else. They all sat in the waiting room, not exchanging a single word.
