The infamous panic button. For dire situations. The signal for the cavalry. Has become a joke. Now, I do not dismiss how useful and necessary the police button is, I'm glad we have it. However, teenagers seem to be unphased by it.
One time a large group was swearing and being extremely cheeky. I gave them several chances to change their attitude but to no avail. I asked them to leave. They refused. One even had the audacity to sneer and told me to press the button for the police!
Twice it was pressed a few nights ago, my colleagues told me. Twice. And the group of teens that was in did NOT budge. Despite the fact they knew the police were on their way.
I'm not someone to cause trouble but if I was those teens I would've been sprinting out of the place if I knew the cops were coming.
