During Season 2 Episode 9 (The Kraang Conspiracy)

Akiko was meditating with Master Splinter in the dojo. The turtles and April were out on a training exercise. Akiko wanted to go with them but Mater Splinter thought it would be better for her to stay in and work on the nightmares she's been having.

From the past few days, Akiko's nightmares had been getting worse. It got so bad that she couldn't even sleep. And even if she did sleep, she'd just wake up again in the middle of the night, sweating and panting.

"Akiko?"

Akiko opened her eyes.

"Are you alright?" Master Splinter asked with worry. "You look pale and sweaty."

"I- I'm alright Master," Akiko answered.

Master Splinter didn't look too convinced but decided not to push on it. "What are your nightmares about?" he asked.

"Master I-"

"I know you do not like to talk about it Akiko, but you need to. It is the only way you will overcome this."

Akiko sighed in defeat and took a deep breath. "My nightmares are about Shredder. In my dreams he- he hurts me. And right when he goes for the final blow, I wake up." Akiko said as the memories of her nightmares came crawling back to her.

"Shredder's abuse to you is what is causing you these nightmares."

"But I'm far away from him. I know I'm safe but..."

"This is just a side effect. You can not just assume that you will come out of an unhealthy relationship without scars, both physically and mentally."

"I understand Master," Akiko said sadly.

"You will be fine. We are here to help you overcome this."

Akiko smiled.

"Let us resume."

They both closed their eyes and began meditating.

Suddenly, Akiko's T-Phone rang.

She opened her eyes took it out of her belt and looked at it. The screen showed the face of the man that stole her heart.

"Who is it?" Master Splinter asked.

"It's Leo," Akiko replied with a smile. She couldn't believe it. Leo, the love of her life, was calling her. It was a dream come true. "May I answer?"

Master Splinter nodded.

Akiko remembered the first time Donnie gave her the T-Phone. She had no idea how to use it. Donnie had to teach her everything, from turning it on, to answering calls, to downloading apps.

"Hey Leo," Akiko beamed into the phone.

"Akiko?" Leo said from the other end and Akiko internally screamed. "We need your help."

"Sure. What is it?"

"I need you to take the Tortuga out and meet us outside."

"I'm on it."

Leo hung up.

Akiko stood up and bowed to Master Splinter. "Forgive me, Master. But Leo needs help."

Master Splinter nodded. "Go."

Akiko ran to the Tortuga. She sat on the driver's seat. She turned it on and started driving.

Leo had taught her how to drive. She understood how to drive pretty quickly but she wanted to spend more time with Leo so she made it look like she didn't get it. Getting private lessons from Leo on how to drive had to be the highlight of Akiko's life.
