After Season 2 Episode 6 (Target: April O'Neil)

The turtles had finished saving April and now they were watching TV in the lair with Akiko.

"Hey guys," April said as she walked into the lair.

The turtles stood up. Akiko stayed sitting.

"April," said Leo.

"You're back," said Raph.

"What up?" said Mikey.

Donnie smiled. He was glad that April came back. Everyone was.

"It is very good to see you, April," said Splinter.

"I missed you, Master Splinter," said April. "I hope we can start training again soon."

"Of course. Whenever you wish."

They bowed to each other.

"I never got a chance to tell you guys that, uh, I'm sorry. For everything," said April.

"You're sorry?" said Leo. "But we were the ones that screwed up."

"It was an accident. And more importantly, you're my friends. I don't ever want to hold a grudge, ever again."

"You're the best, April," said Mikey. "To mark this day, I offer you the slice of eternal union." He held out a really disgusting slice of pizza.

April slid her finger down the slice. "It has lint and dead bugs all over it."

"I know, I just found it under my bed. It's eternal." Mikey hugged it then ate it.

Everyone looked disgusted and Akiko giggled from her seat on the couch.

April went to Donnie. "Thanks, Donnie," she said. "For always being there. Even when I didn't want you to be." She hugged him then kissed him on the cheek.

"I love being a turtle," Donnie said dreamily.

Everyone laughed.

April spotted Akiko and asked, "Who's she?"

"That's Akiko," said Leo. "Akiko, meet, April. April, meet, Akiko."

Akiko stood up. "Hello, April."

"Hi, Akiko," April said.

"The turtles told me a lot about you. Especially, Donnie," Akiko said.

April laughed then turned to Leo. "Is she the one you were talking about that night?" she whispered, remembering when Leo came to her.

"We'll talk later," Leo whispered back.

After a night of watching tv, April decided she should go home.

"I'll drop her off," Leo said and ran out with April.

Donnie looked upset.

Akiko looked ready to burst and her eyes turned from green to yellow and her teeth turned sharp and pointed.

"Woah. What's wrong with you?" Raph asked and sat beside Akiko on the sofa.

"She's my enemy," Akiko said between gritted teeth.

"Who? April?" Raph asked.

"Leo said he'd drop her off. He probably has a crush on her and she probably has a crush on him."

Raph laughed. "Leo doesn't have a crush on April so you can calm down."

"Really?" Akiko said and she turned back to normal. She still might have a chance with Leo.

"Yep. But Donnie does."

"I noticed," Akiko said and they both laughed.

"I guess I was wrong," April said. "Akiko's different from Karai. She seems really nice."

Leo had told April about Akiko and her past.

"She is," said Leo.

"I feel sorry for her, though."

"Me too. But we are trying our best to make her feel safe."

"I'm guessing Raph doesn't trust her yet?"

"No. But he will. He seems to be liking her."

"That's good. I should go now. Bye, Leo."

"Bye, April."

When Leo got home, he saw that everyone was getting along.

He smiled.

Akiko was part of the family.
