I awoke several hours later, to the smell of coffee.
Eva was not in bed with me.
I don't know why, but a panic hit me. Whisper was usually the one who made coffee in the morning.
What if?
.
I jumped out of bed and went to the kitchen.
Eva was staring out the kitchen window, sipping on a coffee.
Whisper was nowhere to be seen.
.
I took a deep breath of relief.
"Morning."
.
She turned and smiled. The most beautiful smile in the world.
"Good morning."
She walked to me and gave me a kiss. She tasted so good and smelled so good.
"Coffee?"
.
"Please," I said, happily.
.
Whisper suddenly appeared next to her. As Eva picked up the coffee pot, Whisper pushed it from her hand. It fell to the floor, smashing into a hundred pieces and splashing hot coffee all over the floor and cupboards.
Whisper looked at me briefly, a strange, blank look on her face and disappeared.
I was in total shock.
.
"Oh my God Will. I am so sorry. I don't know what happened. It was like someone pushed it from my hand."
Evangeline was standing in one spot, looking at the mess on the floor.
.
'Someone did.'
.
Whisper appeared in front of my face.
"I don't like her Daddy. She is not a good person."
.
"Stop it," I glared at her.
.
Eva looked at me, still panicked. "Stop what?"
.
I had to think quick.
"I mean, don't move. There is glass everywhere, hun. Let me get a broom."
I put up my hand.
"Just stay there, until I get it swept a little."
.
She simply nodded, a look of fear on her face.
.
I went to the cleaning closet. The broom was gone.
'Whisper.'
.
She appeared in the closet.
.
'What are you doing?'
.
"I don't like her," Whisper said, angrily.
"She is not a good woman."
.
'I do. Now where is the broom?'
.
The broom appeared as Whisper disappeared.
