It's been a long day and it's literally only the afternoon..

I stopped by the company to help set up Grace's Art Workshop and get some of her artwork up on one end and on the other there were art washable paints and brushes and all sorts of supplies, it needed a little more decor and fresh paint in some spots which would only take a couple of days which she should be almost settled in after we open it up.

I pull up to my mom's home dreading that today is the day that I was going to tell her about the proposal.

"Mom?" I yell wondering where she was inside of the house

"Kitchen!" She yelled in response

"Hey, whatcha cookin'?"
I say looking over the stove

"Smells good doesn't it, I know" she says with a laugh

" Mom..I need to talk to you" I say taking a seat at the kitchen counter

"About Troy proposing to you?" She says finishing up adding touches to the pan in the oven

"Um..yes how, how'd you know?" I say confused

"He called me and told me that no matter what, that he loved you...and that I shouldn't be so mean and hateful towards you both for how you guys should live your life although he respects my opinion and that he cares about you and that he will prove to me that I can trust him if I give him my blessing, and I did."

"What!, You did? Why were you always mad at me when I brought him up?"

"I just thought that maybe you were thinking to fast about everything, I still don't fully like it but as long as my daughter is happy, that is all that matters.." she said giving me a hug

"Awe thanks mom, thank you so much, I really do love him." I say hugging her back

"I know you do sweetheart, you just make sure that I get invited to the wedding and I want grand children" she says with a smile and a wink

"Oh mom" I say laughing

"I have to go mom, I'll be back over soon!" I say as I'm leaving out the door and driving back home.
