Chapter 2: meeting Sally face

You were woken up by Rachel knocking on your door, telling you that breakfast was ready. You rolled out of your bed and did you morning activities before bandaging your arms and fingers back up and opening Azul's cage and carrying the love bird to the kitchen with you.

You sat down at the dining table and placed Azul on his own tiny chair and fed him a few pieces of his bird seed ball. You smiled and laid your head on the table as Rachel, finished placing things down, Azul waddled his way across the table and back, the only sound being the chirps of joy and tiny pitter patter of his feet.

You sat up when Rachel placed a plate of food in front of you, smiling at you as she poured juice into two cups. You mumbled a thank you as you began eating, smiling as the food gave you a jolt of energy. You tapped your finger against the table as Azul copied your finger and tapped his beak. You smiled more, not noticing Rachel stare at your with eyes softening.

After breakfast you offered to do the dishes but Rachel said she would take care of it. " You go ahead and get your stuff unpacked then we'll begin to set your bed up" She said, nudging you to your room with her head. You nodded and placed on your shoulder as you both made your way to your room. You placed the singing love bird in his cage as he played with the little trinkets that laid in his cage.

You sat on your knees as you pulled clothes, sketchbooks, shoes etc. out of boxes and placing them in parts of your room. You pulled the pieces of your bed frame and laid them on the floor while also placing the instructions next to them. You started hanging up pictures of you and Rachel  and your old friends.

"(Y/n), can you come here. There's someone you should meet" Rachel said from behind the door. "Yeah give me a second" You hollered back at her and changed your clothes to another oversize sweater and navy green leggings and your boots. You opened your door and saw Rachel stand at the door smiling while two other people also stood there. 

An older man and what you guess was his child, you didn't want to assume who the kid was, stood at the door. The older male had blue hair and blue eyes, his child also has blue hair in pigtails, you saw a faint silhouette of the kids eyes and they appeared to be blue. 

"(Y/n), This is Henry and his son Sally. Sally, this is My step-sister (Y/n). I'm sure you two will become great friends" She said smiling. You nervously waved and held your hand out "Nice to meet you" You said, shyly. "You too" Sally shook your head. "Why not take him to your room while me and Mr. Fisher talk" Rachel said. You nodded and lead Sally to your room.

"I like you room" Was the first thing he said. "Thanks I like your mask" You said. Sally was quiet for a sec. "Its a prosthetic"  "Oh geez! I'm so sorry! i didn't meant to offend you" You quickly said. Sally laughed a bit. "It's ok, I'm used to it. but i'm glad you like it. Anyways, you can call me Sal or Sally face" He said and what you could assume by his tone was that he was smiling.

"Sally face?" You asked. "yeah, where i used to live, kids made fun of me so i decided to own up to the name so asshole couldn't use it against me" He said. You nodded "thats pretty smart" You said. "You wanna meet my bird?" You asked. "You have a pet bird?" Sal asked. You nodded your head and opened Azuls cage and placed him on your finger. 

"This is Azul" You smiled at the male. "He's so pretty" Sal said "is he ok with strangers?" he asked as he held a finger out. Azul immediately jumped to the action of landing on the boys finger. Sal laughed a bit. "Can he not fly?" He asked. You shook your head. "he was unable to fly when I first got him. I've been practicing with him to learn how to fly" You said and sat on the mattress. "Thats nice of you" Sal said. You nodded your head.

"so where are you from?" Sal asked. "I'm from (State name)" you said. "Oh? I've never been there before. Whats it like?" Sal asked. You began to explain to him the things you did where you lived, your friends, the school and things they had there, keeping your family out of the story.

"what made you decide to move here then?" Sal asked with a tilt of his head. "Its not something I like talking about but In short story, Something horrible happened and we had to leave" You said. "I'm sorry" The blue haired male said. You smiled at Sally face and shook your head. "It's alright. Maybe if we grow closer I'll be able to tell you more" You said. You could see Sally's mask lift up a bit, guessing he was smiling. "I'd like that" He said.

After hours of hanging out, a knock stopped you both from knocking. "(Y/n), It's time for sally to go home" Rachel said as she opened the door. "Oh ok. Maybe we can hang out tomorrow sally?" You asked as you stood up with the male. "Sound like a plan, I'll introduce you to my friend Larry too!" He said. You nodded smiling.

You waved bye to your new friend as Sally and his dad left the apartment and to their own room. Rachel smiled at you. "I'm glad your giving this place a chance and making friends" She said as she took both of your bandaged hands under your sleeves. You never did like showing them when around people. "This place is a new beginning for us, ok?" She said as she stared into your eyes. "yes I know" You said and smiled up at her.

"now, lets set that bed up" she said as you both walked to your room and began building your bed frame so you could actually get some rest for once. IT took you both about an hour to finish the bed. "there, all done" Rachel said, wiping her forehead while holding a screwdriver.

You smiled and nodded your head at her "Thank you Rachel" You said as she left the room. You changed into your sleep wear and took a pill before climbing into bed and getting comfortable. You wished and hoped you could actually get a good nights rest.

If only wishes came true.

A/n: I hope this turned out good. I'm wanting to introduce main characters chapter by chapter so everything isn't so cramped together but i hope you guys enjoy this because I enjoy writing it. Also please excuse my errors, I'm not good at writing. Bye bye!
